He's made out to be a God amongst our support in relation to his leadership, yet as I say the number of huge European & Cup failures under him as captain is crazy for someone rated so highly for their motivation skills.

Hes made out as a god due to his overall achievements and how long he's been with us, how many trophies he's lifted and how he mugged of the manky spitter. No one said he was pirlo. Pointless. They are just games of football. In the whole, brown has captained more wins than losses. Doesn't matter the teams or occasions. He isnt a miracle worker. There are games he dragged the team through and there's times he just couldn't....like this season against county and so on.

Juco James explained it, Davis more technical with a better forward passing range, Brown better at closing players down, putting pressure on them & winning tackles. But now his legs have gone he can no longer expand the energy required to do that.
