Winning the title alone would not cover that debt. They would need as a minimum to qualify for the CL group stage. Neither Lawell nor anybody else at Celtic can guarantee that will happen. That is pure chance.
So if Lawell can see things aren’t right why isn’t he taking steps to fix it?

Winning the title alone would not cover that debt.
But it will ensure the hun returns to the stadium and take up any slack in the fleecing.

First off the interview Lenny just gave is shocking.

Those who say he didn't pick his staff etc.. he knew exactly what he was signing up for with the job and has even backed Liewell at agm's before on the job he does for Celtic and his worth.

Too many people hung up on beating Lazio and saying no one was complaining then ... we were humbled by Cluj and Copenhagen in the same European campaign and Lazio even looking back now could have beat us if not foe some excellent goalkeeping and wasteful finishing on their part.

Lenny also said they more or less still employed the rat's methods last season so that would mean this season is Lenny's methods.

The games against them we have struggled to get near them and too many of our performances have not been up to scratch over the course.

It was also like this first time round on his watch and he gave the same interviews, performances were similar and we lost the league which would have meant we would have been on ten already.

Legend is the word used because of everything done as a playerand what he went through as an Irish Catholic and that gives him immunity in some peoples eyes no matter what and even now after his latest interview where he has said if there has to be a change so be it.

Mowbray and Barnes were sacked for less and even Deila didn't have us here.

If we are all for giving second rate managers jobs because they played well for us and are legends then we can line up managers for quite a few years including Stubbs, Henrik, Mcnamara or even Roy Keane to name a few....

I want what is best for this club and it isn't all of us batching over messageboards at each other when we should be constructively deducing what we can do to help or fix it and driving our club on to the ten and burying those bassas across the city once and for all, sick of the last few days with all this pish with that criminal King and that scouse nyaff as well as our own board who are meant to have to clubs best interests at heart, when is it ever our interest to capitulate to them?

Edit: lennon is definitely breaking records, just all the wrong ones. This run of results is like the 90s all over again.

For a start he charged the fans extra to watch Celtic v a tribute act a team no different from any other club in the SPFL, in fact allother clubs we faced had more history than this tribute club. So he wants to maintain the status quo the Glasgow two shite.

He was the cheap appointment, glad of the job and has played their game
Maybe why they’re happy to continue backing him

Sorry Boab but I've got to disagree mate......there is no sinister conspiracy going on here what we have is a stubborn and limited manager who refuses to recognise his own inadequacies, a mediocre coaching set-up that borders on amateurish, an unbalanced demotivated squad of players and a CEO/board who's own hubris leads them to think that they can make better football related decisions than those who are more qualified to do so.

I think you give Lawell way too much credit when it comes to what he knows about football and football players, for every Turnbull he's signed over the years he's signed another 4 or 5 duds costing tens of millions that have been sold on at a loss yet he's continued to work to the same flawed strategy because every now and again he makes a killing by selling one of the few that works out on for a large transfer fee. That solitary fact is what convinces him he is doing a good job, even if it means we go backwards on the pitch.

We're gonnae have to agree to disagree on this one I'm afraid mate.
