Corner turned?

When we beat motherwell I wasn't hopeful at all when we where told we all owe lenny an apology and a corner had been turned. We couldn't seem to string 2 good games together. We then when on to draw with hibs, lose to sparta and county.
Last night felt a bit different though. We played our fringe players, guys we have been begging lenny to play all season. The ball was moved forward quicker. We played as a unit. And the new guys looked really good. Its the first time in a long time I've watched Celtic and knew we weren't going to lose (easy to say when the games done) but it just felt like the guys on the park weren't going to allow it.
How will they play against packed defences in the SPL? Who's knows. But surely lennon has to give them a chance this weekend.
If so then we could have just turned the corner on the way to winning the 10.
I didnt think that was a possibility after the St Johnstone game.
All in all, it feels like a good day 🍀😁🍀😁🍀😁

I think you're right and we have turned the corner when was the last time we played with such zip and energy? I'd say that was the first time this season HH

True. And the worry was it seemed we had our best team on the park when we were failing. Let's be honest, could soro cut it? Was turnbull going to be good enough? Could we play any differently than we had been? Now we know all those answers. Like we have just discovered a Plan B. It gives me hope that things can change, which I haven't had this season.

Thats what I'm afraid of.

Hopefully it's not a case of "I've dropped soro/turnbull for brown because they haven't had enough game time."

Not a good look if a 35 year old who barely misses a match is fitter than two young players.

At least start with the same formation and players swapping eli for eddy. Give them an hour or so to make an impression then change it up to give them a rest once we are 5 or 6-0 up.

Agree with that, I'd also give Hazzard another chance between the sticks. I know he didn't have much to do, (surprisingly) but he still made a decent save with his leg when 1 on 1 with their striker.

Ofcourse this all goes out the window if we play...

Barkas
Frimpong julien duffy laxalt
Christie mcgregor brown eli
Rogic eddy

At the weekend and revert to type 😁
Don’t know what to think about Sunday. Felt hopeful after last night but feck knows what Neil wiil do with the team. If he picks the same ‘old guard’ again and last night is followe by another insipid performance then he really will bring it on himself as this will show he clearly does not learn from previous experiences

Feel a bit queasy posting after that picture .....
But I was very pleased last night.
One feature was Soro passing forward quickly rather than square ball Brown. That quickened everything with Klimala also running the channels( Edouard not so much)
Turnbull dead ball delivery also excellent
Anyway hope Soro and Turnbull start , but mmmmm I doubt it.

Hope you are wrong mate. But if Neil is fearful of a bad result who knows what he’ll decide to do.

A lot of positives from last night!Soro,Turnbull Ajer and wee Henderson showing there class .The players looked like they were enjoying themselves, got a wee buzz when i seen the way McGregor celebrated scoring his penalty, dont want to get carried away but dont think we're done yet this season.Hope they sack this protest on Sunday ,dont need clowns embarassing the club again.

What kind of message would that send to the players who done well last night?A slap in the face in my opinion so cant see Soro and Turnbull being dropped .Hope wee Henderson gets a start ,well deserved after last nights showing.

I think they have a right to protest if they’re not happy about things. What I don’t want is stupid behaviour or threatening banners. Personally I’m still not happy with Lawell & co either. One good result doesn’t guarantee everything is now OK. Let’s see what Sunday brings before leaping to conclusions.

Nothing up with a peaceful protest but putting up banners with shoot the boards not on ,nor is shouting abuse at the players and the manager, theyve been nothing but an embarassment imo

Same here lubo this is also the time of the season where players pick up knocks and niggles and weve had plenty over to them to see who they deal with that situation and they will have to every team does. We know know our fringe players can cut it and more. It was a dead rubber but only to us , they were full strength and had to win to win the group. We can play and everyone knows it but haven't shown it defensively bar both lille games , defence again is a priority and now require a replacement for El Hamed. So I'm expecting a spending spree in January (hoping for is more accurate) and I think that we'll get get it , if we dont then the boards "we fully back lenny " statement is nothing but lies and stalling. Kennedy? Dont get me started on him , I saw his gutted reaction to us taking the lead at the 2nd I think he slumped into his seat as if "fuk sake, hoping for a defeat so I'll get the job" his face after the win? Looked like hed bet his hoose on a heavy defeat for us , but as boab said before we dont do underdogs very well we are always full of surprises when you least expect it. We beat and draw away with the 2nd best side in France at the moment. Had we been able to defend we couldve got through this group. Certainly more than 4pts but it's gone now and coming into form at the right time for they will drop points that's a given we just need to take advantage when they do , they think its won after 16 games , good let them believe that , they did well in Europe but they weren't in a group that had the quality of ours , a CL group in the EL is what we got. If lenny believes that some players have downed tools ? Well now he knows that the new signings are right up for it. So play them and we will okay with the zip and energy that is fitting for a Celtic side HH COYBIG ☘

January spending? If Lenny is still here and if the board ‘support’ him then there should be some kind of spend. If he’s still here and there is no spend that will say it all - their support is superficial and they are buying time. If Neil is gone as a result of more sub-standard performances? Who knows? Probably depends on who replaces him.

One swallow doth not a summer make.

Let's hope for the same team, or close to, and a string of positive results.

We are not out of the woods yet.

Please don't think for a second that I believe all of a sudden the celtic we know are back. I didnt believe that after the well game and I dont now. But what I have now that i didn't then is hope. The players have shown that, given the chance, they can take on top quality and come away with a win. This time last week I was worried about the cup final against a shite diet huns team. Not so much anymore.....but it all depends on what Lennon does next.
