From what I’ve read it seems the mutation makes it more spreadable but won’t affect the efficacy of the vaccine. The virus attaches itself to cells using spike proteins which the vaccine prevents it from doing. This mutation apparently does not alter the way the way it attaches/attacks cells therefore it won’t alter the success of the vaccine.
My mate in the pub that shouldn’t be open told me that over the pint I shouldn’t have been drinking

Problem!
Clearing some shit out of my container into the van to dump it, a sort of festive spring clean (avoiding work really) and this massive spider jumped out of a box I threw in the van, now spiders dont normally bother me but this fucker is huge! I tried to swipe it out the van but the bastard just growled at me and scurried off into the depths of the van!
Point of the story is, if that big bastard learns how to start a chainsaw I'm fucked! So if I go strangely quiet, happy Christmas everybody 🙀

One day someone in one of our labs was opening boxes of samples from Australia. There was a scurrying inside so they closed it and screamed for help. Someone carefully opened it and saw this wee black bugger with red markings on its back - they thought "holy shit" did a quick google to confirmed it was a venomous female red back. They called in a spider expert who took it away. The expert advised that they love hiding in the backs of vans and love nothing better than sinking their fangs into feline smelling jiners.

Sounds like 2021 might be a year to forget too mate,works just told us to pack up our tools expect to be off at least a month!Another shit storm heading our way i think.
