Tough question to answer GS, as this is all about money at the end of the day.
To be deprived of the potential money on offer due to a rule break can't be ignored either imo.
As a potential solution, why can't we play the first leg at the weekend and keep the second leg still as planned by swapping places with the Danes.
Only solution I can think of that would seem reasonable

As a gesture of good will towards celtic they should put us staight in to the group stages of the champions league. But then celtic don't get good gestures.failing that I think they might put us straight into one of the europa league groups after all celtic didn't break any rules we are the victim here after all who's to say how the match might have turned out different if the player didn't play.we might have won and then we might have beaten psv although it would have been a hard task but who knows how it would have went.so I'm looking forward to hearing how this turns out.

Well the reason given for Lawell remaining on the board was apparently due to his oh so important role representing the club on the ECA board...so I'm sure Lawell backed by his ECA colleagues will be pushing for the rules to be enforced by UEFA and for Celtic's reinstatement back into the CL 2nd round qualifiers....what better way could he and the Celtic board prove the justification for his continued involvement at the club was warranted!

Maybe a winner takes all one off game against PSV would be the fairest way forward for all concerned. I'm sure Peter's on it as we speak!

100% correct Imatim......nothing else will do otherwise UEFA are even BIGGER crooks and fools than we thought they previously were.

What is the point of having strict legislature if clubs can breach them and forego the rules whenever they like at the expense of the honest clubs who follow them and behave accordingly.

Ban from next years tournament or when they next qualify and Celtic awarded any money that would have come from going forward to the next round of playoffs. PSV have went through on merit by playing two games and it would be unfair on them to have to play in a third game.

Precedent has been set on this before.
The fact that the HR department of UEFA fucked it shouldnt matter.

This balls up could potentially move the start dates back of both the EL and CL group stages. Again this shouldnt matter.

They won thier domestic tie so by right the points should be awarded to the loosing team in thier own leauge. If Viborg ask for the 3-0 award they will get it. They should be awarded it regardless.

Not saying we deserve any sort of lifeline. If the rules however state otherwise... then fuck it.
