Paddy Roberts

Man City hardly helped his career by insisting on to much money for him.
That's the problem with these cash rich clubs, can also destroy promising young talent by being unreasonable with them also.
Was always going to be a very slim chance of making the breakthrough into that city team, yet they weren't really prepared to let him make his mark elsewhere.

True. Like so many other young players.

If city release him and he's going for free, I'd 100% approach him. He has a choice to make. Go to some lower league English team to become another forgotten talent, all be it, with a massive bank account. Or come to a club where he can start again, become a football hero with his name being chanted from the stands from 60,000 fans (like I'm sure he dreamt about as a kid). The choice would be his.

Since he left us, Paddy was loaned out to Girona, Norwich, Middlesbrough and Derby County. He has only played a total of 2621 minutes (equivalent to 29 games) and has scored only 3 times and assisted 5 goals. I would imagine he would demsnd a high wage so I think our money would be better spent elsewhere.

Of course, if Ange decides he is worth a punt then I'd be happy cos on his day he really is a fantastic footballer.

I know its not a long career ,but if he wasn't greedy and Celtic gave him a reasonable wage he's probably going to make as much in a year as ordinary Joe public makes in 10 years if Ange wants him come back become a legend, he just has to look over his shoulder and see Fraser Foster who shat in his own nest by being greedy

HH 😂

Where is he!?!?! That's a good question???
Celtic's marketing people are missing a trick here they should bring out a series of "Where's Micky " books based on the where's Wally books . Micky in the green and white hooped Jersey instead of the red and white of Wally , ideal stocking filler along side the Celtic annual at Christmas ,or what about a remake of the invisible man /scarlet pimpernel staring Mickey and Julien

I can actually see your point BB, but would you class him now any better than young Dembele could offer 🤔I don't think he could any longer myself
I don’t think young dembele will make it was a professional football player, he’s only 6 stone soaking wet, its one thing sand dancing about with the under 21s, quite another thing when a 6’4” centre half boots you up into the stands, I so wanted him to be a player for us, but just doesn’t have the physicality for the Scottish game ☹️
