Celtic v Dundee United - Saturday 29th Jan, 3pm, Celtic Park

Sitting in the car and hear Ross County had a corner hoping they could score my mate starts shouting get in he was watching their game on the phone, good start now into paradise to watch the boys knowing a win would bring us even closer to them. As the game unfolded are thinking this has draw written all over it as we couldn't take our chances then Jota plays it across Abada takes a touch and slams it into the net a mixture of delight and relief but the noise in the stadium was great to hear. A special mention to the ref who let the foul on Taylor go to then give a 2nd yellow to Bitton takes a special way of performing your officiating duties add on the fact he drew the line for Utd players to stand behind for a free kick then let them stand on it or in front of it and the amount of time wasting he let them away with.
Don’t think he wanted Bitton on the pitch Wednesday can’t see any other reason for sending off?

If we win on Wednesday we will break them.
We have literally answered every question of us chasing the scum down, every game a must win, every game a pressure cooker.
We get in front, its their turn, the pressure is on them to win, to get a result every time, we’ll see how they handle that, we’ll see how Tavpen and his cohorts holds up under that pressure..

Really sorry to read of your illness Marky, and in truth I was going to PM you with a story, which I hope both cheers you up and gives you hope. The reason I decided to post is to let my fellow Noisers who may be in a similar situation, know there's ALWAYS hope.
My younger sister was diagnosed with stage four cancer a couple of months before ne'erday. She had a tumour in both her esophagus and in one lung. After her last chemo session, she had a biopsy a few days later. There's no sign of her illness in either place. To be clear, this doesn't mean she's totally cured. Just that she's winning the battle .
Thinking about you mate.
Thanks Frank and everyone else , its prostate cancer I've got by the time I was diagnosed 4 years ago it had already spread outside the prostate so initially I had 10 doses of chemo followed with 40 sessions of radiotherapy and a thing called Brachio therapy everything was looking Good but at the 3 month check up the scan showed it had returned and I now had tumors on my ribs near my heart the nape of my neck on the spinal chord and inside my pelvis and other small tumors dotted around so its been another 10 chemos and a trial drug (unsuccessful) I'm waiting for more radiotherapy.
Can I just say to everyone a heartfelt thanks for the support you've given me ,its been great to talk to other folk rather than burden my wife with all my woes .
I know this sounds a bit preachy gentlemen but if your over 50 go and get yourself checked out especially if theirs a history of prostate cancer in your family , I had no symptoms and only went for a test after my brother asked my late dad why he was going to oncology and my dad had said his prostate cancer was back after 20 years ,he'd had it when he was 70 and hadn't told his 5 sons so we all went and got tested and I was the unfortunate one to draw the short straw ,in folk of European decent the ratio is 1 in 8 if your of Afro-Caribbean its 1in 4 ,initially its only a blood test so well worth getting done for peace of mind.

It says much about you Marky, that you think of others and advise them when you have your own concerns. Sending you my best wishes . Each and everyone of the bhoys and ghirls of The Noise are with you.

Thanks all, I also have a great support group through the Maggie cancer centre in Edinburgh where during lockdown we had monthly zoom meetings just to buck everyone up . All the others in the group had been diagnosed early so had been treated with medication (Hormone) or had their prostate removed .
On a lighter note the hormone treatment gave me a fine pair of moobs 🤣 and I also get oramorph when I need it🥴

Marky you know you can depend on us here on The Noise to be here for you. Always. What an unbelievable group of people on here. Hearts of lions. When I joined this forum I had no idea that it would be much more than that. A magical place that we all play our part in. We'll done all of you👏

Seeing as I missed the games this afternoon I just watched the highlights packages on Sportscene. I'm not sure how representative these were of the whole games but it sppeared that sevco totally dominated and battered RC snd Utd gave as good as they got in an even game against us!

Personally I thought Taylor was fouled immediately before Bitton's second yellow. I have seen dozens of free kicks given against us this season for this type of incident.

I will say Giakoumakis was very unfortunate not to score with that miraculous reflex save by the goalie's boot. Abada was so composed to score that beautiful winner.
It's very skewewed sportscene utd were barely out of their half and happy to just sit in total anti fitba had we not won it wouldve been a really sore one we deserved everything and they deserved nothing bar seigrist he was truly awesome in goal where utd keep getting these goalies fae I don't know. I was sitting watching as bitton was first booked thinking get him off he was ok but ragged and a sure thing to pick another card and did but it shouldve been our free kick anyway definitely taylor was fouled. Massive 3 points when we get last minute goals usually I associate that with good Celtic sides title winning , were winning in the last minute and they're dropping points last minute and that's a good sign to me top of the table here we come
