Motherwell v CELTIC match thread

Expect this to be a tougher nut to crack than the huns though Well often attack us hopefully they will but having seen what we did to sevco might temper their ambitions. I dont expect the same starting XI just because weve seen it so few times and we can field better , that's not slating anyone just that Ange appears to like rotating the team like it's part of his game . Still very confident of the win and 3pts though, 14 games to go these players are so hungry it's there for us the treble and champions league auto entry 1 game at a time I also expect them to drop pts as we collect them HH

Anything less than 3 points will take the shine off the Derby result big time, and can't see us dropping in the standards we are setting at present.
Great to have the extra options available, in Bitton, rogic and meada all pushing for a starting role, but would be surprised to see it after Wednesday.
Might be a concern regarding Abada, if so, think meada would get the nod ahead of Forrest imo.
Regardless of what team Ange goes for, should have more than enough to get the valuable 3 points again
Celtic 2-0 win

Hart
Juranovic, CCV Starfelt, Taylor
McCarthy, McGregor, Hatate
Abada, Maeda, Jota
That is a fine looking team Doc!
Taylor was magnificent on Wednesday and deserves to keep his place. I would agree with having McCarthy start alongside McGregor as it may allow McGregor to push forward. However, I would love to see Doak given a start as I think it would encourage him to see his future with us and not be lured away.

Absolutely buzzing for this one.
I can see us kill the game off in the 1st half...im predicting a load of goals but God knows what team Ange will field.....although it doesn't matter. The team on Wednesday wasn't even supposed to be our strongest 11!!! 🤣🤣

I'm going Celtic 24-0 Motherwell.
We won't concede as we have the best defence in the league.

O'Riley will score the 2nd best goal ever scored since the discovery of football (2nd only to Hatates 1st goal)

Then every other player, including Hart, will get a couple each.
Oh come on now Let's keep ourselves a bit grounded here!!
24-0 against Motherwell with Beaton officiating?
We'll be lucky to get out of Fir Park 22 or 23-0 up, as he's bound to chalk off at least 1 goal. 😅😅

We have the early game and if we win then we stay top. Any other result is unthinkable. Motherwell will pack their defence, their goalkeeper will probably be amazing, and the MIB will want to dominate. Despite all this I expect us win.
If we do then the pressure on Ibrox will be immense. Can you imagine if Hearts score the opener just before half time. Desperation will set in. Their fans are very afraid. They will be furious. They are feral.
They pack their defence when we were 2nd m8, feck knows how bad it will be now we are top 🤷🏻‍♂️

Personally i dont expect many changes today, McGregor could be the one who is rested with Rogic and Bitton being available, i expect motherwell to attempt to smother our wingers in the hope that stops out attacking play, but Angie will expect this and Hence the second change, Meade replacing GG which will allow him and Rogic to use the space left in the middle of the park to attack into the box, it wont be easy today with the weather playing its park {rain and snow} but a comfortable 3-0 for me.

But hey i know fek all so the 24-0 might well happen.

Hail Hail

Meade and 3-0.

Lubo, when I first came onto The Noise, I have to confess, I was blown away with the accuracy of your predictions. So much so, that I actually went down to the bookies and spent my tank looking for a life changing return, all based on following your thoughts. Came out skint, even had to consider going ' back tae work. Think it was the 24-0 one that did it !

Not one for predicting score, but I feel confident enough about our prospects today. Strangely, I'm expecting a more physical contest than we got in midweek. For that reason I think we may see our skipper sit this one out, and Bitton returning. I'm sure there must be an opposition player or two just itching to take the Sky pundits advice. Good thing is, we are in a position to change things if and when needed. Tough game, but three points.

Spoilt for choice...

Joe Hart, Scott Bain, Josip Juranovic, Anthony Ralston, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Carl Starfelt, Christopher Jullien, Dane Murray, Greg Taylor, Liam Scales, Boli Bolingoli, Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Matt O’Riley, Tom Rogic, Nir Bitton, James McCarthy, Ismaila Soro, Liel Abada, James Forrest, Filipe Jota, Mikey Johnston, Giorgos Giakoumakis and Daizen Maeda.

I agree,I think that was a really clever move of Ange the other night bringing him on for last few minutes &letting the boy experience the atmosphere at the end.Who would want to miss out on those experiences to go &play in some EPL side's development squad at 18's or suchlike? As I say, smart move from Ange but the bloke is the real deal& I think he could be one of our truly great managers.

The biggest problem LondonBhoy when it comes to getting the younger Bhoys to put pen to paper is the agents,if Ange can get a player with the quality of Matt O,Riley to Celtic young Doak should be a breeze..
