CELTIC v Jam tarts

Having totally dominated the first half we struggled inexplicably with the hearts high press. Something I thought we'd eliminated from our game.
We cannot be scorchingly brilliant every time we play but the 1st half was looking like another hammering was about to be handed out.
Didnt quite turn out that way but this is a results based sport like all sports and we got them .
Huge credit to hearts for their performance 2nd half but we were still always the more dangerous side and deserved winners HH
 
Overall I thought that the right result was achieved in the end, even if we made harder work of it than it should have been imo.
Struggled so badly in the 2nd half against the 532 with not being able to get our midfield going for way to many long periods with poor decision making and passing at times.
Results are the main objective so happy enough in that regards
 
Overall I am happy with 3 points against the side that finished 3rd last season. They are a very niggly side to play against with their off the ball crap. We need to be more clinical in front of goal to make our dominance count.

Yes we dropped off our intensity in the second half but still kept Hearts down to hardly any chances while we had several good ones.

3 points, no injuries and 2 satsumas sent off! Job done and we move on and learn from today.
 
Game of 2 half’s good first slow sec but we did more than the minis the sendings off were clear the fouling was constant the Mib piss poor.
The 3 points magfuckingnificent.

They really put us under pressure ( more than weve been under fir quite some time) 2nd half.
If theres anything to take from this it's that even on an off day, which today was , we still held tight and got the points and that's all that matters at the end of the day. Turnbull, hatate, mooy, their passing was way off the standard but top of the table so can hardly complain but bhoy did we make hard work of that game against a hearts side with 7 changes from midweek. 2pts clear HH COYBIG 🍀

The 7 changes offered fresher legs to keep within the game winter imo.
Possibly part of there gameplan that we never took full advantage of in the 1st half while being so dominant

Hearts contributed next to nothing positive to the match. They were time wasting after less than half an hour gone when they were already a goal down. 0 shots on target and 1 shot off of target.

At least their manager looks a little less tramp like just now as he will have had his annual powerwash and shampoo during the summer break.

The fact hearts can make 7 changes against us including Gordon speaks volumes for them . Said earlier that they appear to have depth in the squad , possibly more than sevco.
They didnt deserve a point , no way ,playing well and giving us problems is one thing and commendable but we stood up strong against it, which given how much our game had dropped off is more commendable for me.
Hearts surprised us 2nd half and deserve credit for that but even had they scored I'm certain that wouldve clicked us back into 1st half mode.
Hearts can take positivity from their 2nd half showing but nothing else.

I'll take that start any season. HH
