Holy shit! Even I did not think that they would put Cheatin' Beaton as MIB. And Nick Walsh on VAR. This is probably one of the biggest feck yous by the SFA/LRA in recent times. It is deliberate provocation by them to try to put us in our place. I'm so glad that DD was personally involved and got in the big lawyers and experts to compile a dossier on the dodgy decisions in recent years to show the authorities that we had been sickened by them and enough was enough! That stuck it to them and had them running for cover. NOT!
I hope when Rodgers is goaded by the staunch churnalists in his media conference about this astonishingly appointment that he plays it very clever. He must not rant, but he has to pile the pressure onto Beaton by reminding him that given his history and the eyes of the world watching that his decisions will be scrutinised thoroughly on a global basis in case their is anything untoward.
Honestly, I am struggling to see how we can win this game now. As Lubo said before - if anyone says "if you are good enough then the refs do not matter" then I will fecking scream. It was ridiculous when Big Jock said it at the time and it is irrelevant now that we have MIBs on VAR forensically scrutinising replays desperate to find any reason at all to penalise sevco's opponents and sevco's biggest rivals - no matter how soft in their favour or how dubious against us. Then the refereeing fraternity, aided by their fellow fans in the media, close ranks and dictate the narrative to suit their beloved holding company.
One question - should we report the SFA/LRA to the police for violating the new hate crime law? Surely appointing Beaton & Walsh comes under the category of an action "that a reasonable person would consider to be threatening or abusive"???

The stupidity of the SFA is that they have now put their referee in an impossible position. Everyone knows his allegiances, his dislike of Celtic and the fact that Rodgers called him out after the Hearts game, so we know what to expect. On the other side they will say he is under pressure to give us everything.
Common sense (something always missing at the SFA) would dictate that one of their other incompetents take this game.
