If we are to sign one of them in the summer who would it be?
Probably a similar transfer fee (around £5m), Miovski maybe slightly less.
Both lead the line very well, physical with good movement and can score. Miovski the better finisher but Idah offers more in the build up play.
Given the choice I'd maybe just stick with Idah but if Norwich price him out of our range then I'd be equally happy with Miovski.
I think BR would opt for Idah as he seems to prefer players from down south and has supposedly watched him since he was Leicester manager.

Will give Idah his due he's made more of an impact than I thought he would but it would be Miovski everyday of the week for me! Miovski showed yesterday just how dangerous a player he can be and I reckon he'd run riot in a Celtic jersey.

Have to say that although I like Idah, Miovski has shone in a very poor Don's side most of the season and clubs here are aware of the damage he causes. He could potentially be an even better player in a very good club like Celtic.

Silly money may well take him abroad though.

My only concern with Miovski is can he score against the packed, deep lying defences that we come up against? Aberdeen are a counter attacking team and most of his goals for them are from balls played in behind for him to run onto, like yesterday. Playing as a striker for Celtic doesn't offer striker the space you get playing for other teams.
As said before, would sign either of them.

Think if we sign Idah we would get 3, 4 or possibly 5 seasons out of him...

Sign the sheep guy and he'll be offski in max 2 seasons...

I like what I've seen of Idah in a Celtic jersey and he is still learning his trade and wouldn't mind not being automatic first pick... With Miovski I think he'd want to be first choice so unless Kyogo is going then its Idah for me for that reason, but if Kyogo moves on then I'd be happy with both of them.

I can't see Aberdeen selling Miovski to us for only £5m. I wanted him last summer and would take him in a heartbeat. I think he'd suit our style as he works hard up front and has a lot of skill. Maybe he is only used to playing mostly counter-attacking football for Aberdeen, but he has natural goal scoring instincts so I wouldn't worry too much about that. I think he'd flourish playing with Celtic.

He might not replace Kyogo, but football is about 16 players/match and he'd play at least half an hour in most games, plus quite a few starts as well. This is what he'd expect at best if he joined any bigger club with a chance of winning trophies.

I said I had a feeling that Idah might do well for us early on. I think he has done even better than I hoped for. I do like having a bigger more physical player up front as well as an option. So I'd be happy enough signing him as well. Let's be honest, Oh is out the picture and will leave in the summer so we need at least 3 dedicated strikers - especially with Kyogo's shoulder which can pop out at any time.

I like Idah, shown up well, but at the basics of it he's not really that much of an upgrade on young Oh, who's fallen out of favour and should move to somewhere he'll get a proper chance.

Miovski on the other hand appears tooled up to be an absolute fucking beast with the levels of service Celtic can provide. Mobile, sharp, hardworking, deadly, and has a nasty streak all top strikers should possess.

Plus, he looks like the unhinged but moralistic good-guy prepper in the movies who lives in the woods and teaches kids survival skills with tomahawks and crossbows for the coming apocalypse.

For the money he'd cost (circa 7m?) we'd struggle to find anyone else with the pedigree or potential; almost a ready-made fit for a European campaign.

I checked Miovski's goalscoring record in case he only specialises in scoring counter-attacking goals against the big teams (which is a wonderful trait). He does indeed score a lot of goals against the lower sides where Aberdeen are the dominant team.

Every Dons fan I know believes he will be gone this summer - all they want is a good price for his sale and for that to be reinvested back into the squad. In fact they were shocked but delighted he was still up here when the January window slammed shut as they had reconciled themselves to trying to stay up without him for the last 4 months.

Idah has shown he fits in with us as well so I'd get him too.

Idah was sent to us to find his scoring touch again, like most English teams they think its a dawdle to score up here. He started off well but hasn't really fulfilled his early promise, even fucking up a pen.
Miovski looks better on paper but is he deadly enough, possibly with better service than he gets with the dons maybe. Would the huns invest in him and could it backfire on us if they did?
Anyways, hes worth a punt for that reason alone, we've got the money, spread the love Board, ya tight bastards.

Idah has done far better than expected and scored important goals for us, miovski before the semi had scored 1 league goal in last 11 games.
That could be down to lack of service and poor form at Aberdeen and all strikers have droughts.
£7 million was the number being thrown about for him though I'd be surprised if Aberdeen get that for him , if it's around £5 million then yes I'd take miovski but idah is doing the job at present without many starts under him and so he's proving himself.
Like others I'd like both , can't see that happening though so for the impact he's made Idah for me.

To be honest with you, I personally could not give a monkeys if we paid £10m or £3m for him. It has no impact on my life as it is just a number that is bandied about on the internet when people are boasting/moaning about huge amounts of money being squirreled away in a bank account to boost certain people's bonuses. Personally, I'd prefer the money to be spent on improving our players, as I watch football for entertainment and to support the team. As long as we do not go stupid with our finances like a certain other klub did (RIP) then I couldn't care less any more.

What is the point of saving for a rainy day if you then hide inside and refuse to do anything when it does start raining? If any club in Europe can afford to be slightly more adventurous in investing in their playing side then it is Celtic.

For example, last summer we spent over £7m buying both Nawrocki and Lagerbielke paying them a combined £26K/week basic wage. Neither player is trusted by the manager. By purchasing two players in the same position it makes it very difficult to develop both due to lack of gametime, so at least one will drop in value (as it turns out - both have). Surely it would have been preferable to buy just 1 more experienced player and pay them more? There is no guarantee in paying more means a better player, but it is more likely than not. And before anyone asks - no, I won't give you a name because that is what we paid our Chairman's offspring a sizeable wage for was to scout and recruit suitable players to improve the squad.

Yeah I don't particularly care if we spend 5 to 10 million either we can afford to do that and we have done that before.
Have seen a lot written recently after the semi and before it on how we have to spend on our defence, yet like you said we did spend quite substantial amount on defenders but still we have one left back in Taylor. We have spent but not in a very organised manner it would seem.
On the choice of the 2 strikers I wouldn't say no to either, both it seems will cost around the same and at a price we can well afford. Oh seems to have dropped out the picture perhaps a loan to another spfl club would let us see what he can do given proper game time.
Oriley looks to be our next big sale and Bernardo I think we will pay the £6 million or so for Portugal u21 captain, as his replacement.
It's not only up front , incredibly after a complete clear out from Ange's time we require not the same but a mini clear out perhaps.
One thing I would say is that Rodgers deserves praise, not the praise he got first time around but to have chopped and changed so many times this season , forced changes through injuries that still plague us and clearly not been backed by the board he's done incredibly well considering we blew the 8pt lead yet somehow we lead the table by 3 pts and we're in the final.
I'd quite like to see him backed properly given how he's done with one hand tied behind his back that would be interesting to see.

I believe this time he will get the full backing of a much changed board. Defo board changes on he way. I'd expect lawwell Wilson Brown to go . BR will have quality next season I'm sure 😊
