The only reason he ended up there was because of EBT's, same as the rest of them in that period.
Only they would still worship him as a hero with his track record unlike any of the other clubs he played for. He's an embarrassment to all of them, including his Country.

The EBTs started later than that period. The suicidal over-spending of stupid money that they couldn't afford was financed by a compliant bank manager giving them £10millions that they never paid back (us taxpayers ended up footing the bill after Gordon Brown bailed out the irresponsible banks after they caused the 2008 credit crunch).
This was all agreed with funny handshakes in lodges in Edinburgh with the same clown who decided to take over Livingston resulting in them going into administration and being voted down to the bottom league after he followed Murray & his spending model of racking up huge debts with other people's money.
Deadco simply could not compete for trophies decades without breaking the rules. Murray killed them by trying to win the big cup by cheating.
