If the Beaton "Death Threats" are spin or false then someone is playing a VERY dangerous game
I use the word "GAME" in a very loose capacity
If the claims of said "Death Threats" or indeed any other form of threat against Beaton are true and factually correct then of course they must be followed up and investigated and the man and his family protected in whatever manner is deemed fit
The fact that Beaton himself has laid himself open to criticism and ridicule by being seen drinking with and taking the adulation of SEVCO supporters after such an inept display of refereeing is a matter of personal responsibility If the man feels that such actions are acceptable then perhaps he isn't the brightest or shrewdest Being on our planet and perhaps in retrospect when he sees the aggravation his actions have created for him and his family he might think twice about repeating his actions ......
Then again perhaps not Maybe the recognition and cameraderie from like minded people held such a pull on his sense of self promotion and his desire for further acknowledgment he'd feel comfortable doing it all over again sometime disregarding the flack and dusruption that his actions have created Who knows?
If on the other hand these "Threats" on Beaton prove to be false or unsubstantiated then someone has to pay the price
It cannot be that difficult to prove that such threats were made and who made them
This entire scenario smacks of 'Fit Up' and a sense of superiority and entitlement being taken too far
I hope that this case is followed to conclusion and the full might of the law is heaped upon whoever is found to be responsible for either making the threats or claiming that non existent threats had been made
