The government Have hit Roman Abramovich with severe sanctions
Abramovich's assets have now been frozen - meaning a ban on virtually all trading by the Premier League side while he will be unable to sell up.
They will also be unable to sell merchandise and their club shop has been closed with immediate effect.
The club will be unable to sell tickets meaning only season-ticket holders can attend matches while Abramovich's assets remain frozen.
Some of their only remaining sources of cash will be selling pies and burgers to fans at Stamford Bridge and the broadcasting rights.
Under the terms of the licence - which expires on May 31 - players and staff can still be paid but Abramovich is barred from pumping anymore money into the club, leaving its future uncertain.
There is also a ban on any transfers - incoming or outgoing - and new contracts cannot be handed out.
It effectively means Chelsea now have no source of income.
If the club were to end up in administration they could face a NINE-POINT penalty deduction.

Embody still want argue that Chelsea is not a basket case…..

STG will have something to say about that...

Another important point is, is that until Roman started pumping cash into the club - then they were only loved within their own wee enclave and also by huns.

They have had a broader appeal since Abramovic started dishing the dosh, but international fans can be extremely fickle and tend to jump from club de jour to club de jour.

Once the money starts to trickle instead of flow, then these 'superstar' players and occasional fans will find a new toy to divert their attention to and Chelsea will likely become the moderately sized club they were before Harding and Abramovic.

No tears shed, other than those that appear when I laugh my guts oot.

Their achievements were purchased - not earned.

Zero sympathy for them or any club like them.
Its their greed and lack of any morals thats the main cause of football being a financial basketcase world wide.
Christ we’ve even got our own Chelsea in disguise in the SPFL…the only difference being they’ve only ever had kiddy on billionaires.
I would hope this might be a seachange in football but I doubt it, the big money boys will ride the storm out and it’ll all be forgotten about..normal service will be resumed very quickly.

Thomas Tuchel to man utd???

Aye, don't usually praise the Westminster Gov,
Bravo 👏👏👏

Ask most Londoners which club they detest, 9 times out 10 the answer is Chelsea. Abramovich did try a protect the club from the sanctions by his transferring ownership to The Chelsea Trust, but the thick fuckers couldn't see what he was doing & dragged their heels, over excepting the offer. Just like the Glasgow Huns who let their club die, the London Huns have done the same ha ha, Karmas a bitch 😂😂😂😂

Mobile phone firm Three AXES £40m shirt deal with Chelsea as club opens talks with Government over Roman Abramovich sanctions that will cost them £600,000 a game by BANNING them from selling tickets and limiting them to £20k spend on away travel

oh that's a shame said no knt ever :ROFLMAO:
Wow, they might’ve not even make it to the end of the season, I wonder if they have enough money in the bank to cover wages, failure to make payroll, and all players become “free agents“ the only revenue stream they have now is burgers, pies and tea and coffee, how many pies do you need to sell to pay the wages? Sky better send Chris Boyd down on a emergency “aid” mission
Do you think the Huns will have a “collection” at tonight’s game for their brethren? They love dipping the charity buckets…..could raise a potential £2.73 🤣🤣

Your spot on TT.
Were never liked and detested them also with the time I spent in South London, and full of the bastards also.
Try to change there image as such but will never forget how they were also a front for the NF and combat 18 also.
Full of the Hun mentality and with the safety in numbers approach also, but weren't to brave on their own funnily enough, so no wonder the scum lay in bed with the same Scottish scum still.
Nothing more than a plastic club that hopefully end up melting away also.
Were also the kingpins of bringing football to were its today with the likes of man City and PSG following suit, but the older generations can't relate to the likes whatsoever, and chelski will always remain the worst of the bunch in my eyes anyway.
Blues brothers my hole, and still can't understand why such a shower of shit even get a following within Ireland still.

In order to try and tackle sportswashing every club should be forced by their Associations, UEFA and FIFA to disclose the names of all investors with a shareholding interest of more than two percent in a club, together with full details of any loans greater than half a million pounds acquired by a club. If it has been provided through a registered company no matter from what jurisdiction, then the names of all directors in that company or associated involved companies should have to be provided. Time for proper transparency and accountability. But I know it will never happen due to the snakes in these organisations.
