If this situation lasts into the time period where next season would be due to start and some EPL clubs suffered, that would be the eye opener for everybody.
How many people, UK wide, will cancel all their sports packages?
If they can do that, how will Sky and BT be able to finance their purchases of packages that no longer exist. They would never be held legally accountable to pay for a product they've never been able to broadcast.
That leaves EPL clubs, at the bottom end, and potentially those with parachute payment agreements, in a position where their finances cannot get them through this situation.
That leaves many doors open for full restructuring of football leagues and other competitions.
Does anyone think this scenario could pan out????
