You can hear the profound fear in the feeble protests by the Sevco fans at the fixture list. They are very fearful that this season will produce the 10IAR Decima for us. There are still 22 days to go till a ball gets kicked. They have a veneer of bravado that easily comes off with a bit of Buckfast as they know that they are actually second or third best. They fear the gloating and the triumphalism of the knowledge that they are no longer the people. They will sense unfairness at every decision. They have developed a conspiracy theory that they are wrongfully oppressed by everyone. I feel sorry for their wives and partners and children who will bear the brunt of their despondent but violent knuckles.

The biggest red herring this season was the asterik shout, the huns and media knew there was no way to get the games playing anytime soon.
Resuming fixtures would not have been an option ( SKY do not do all club games neither does all clubs have the facility also) fans would be quite right and able to claim back their remaining money as they would not have been allowed into the fixtures and there was no facility in place for the games to be screened into the living rooms of fans for either free or for their refund. The logistics of this was not been discussed and would have been futile and testing was not feasible as machines were not yet available for self-testing and the cost of paid testing astronomical.
Teams would have been out of pocket for both refunds and testing and would not have made any profit out the game for completing the fixtures had they wanted to, sky would not have covered all home games of all clubs so basically was a non starter
In effect their prize money would have gone on testing and refunding and this this then is not prize money. You do not use your prize money to complete a league as this defeats the purpose and you do not take SPFL loans had they been available to complete seasons either and then be expected again to use your own money again to fund a second season.
