Is international football really a step up in class?

Was listening to Clyde football phone in tonight, and they were going on about international football being a step up in class, but is it? Back in the day when most clubs were mostly home grown talent yes i think it was a step up, but now?
Is France better than PSG? is Spain better than Barca? Is Germany better than Bayern Munich? Is England better than Man City? Is Scotland better than Celtic? Is Gibraltar better than Sevco? I'd say no, other than the last one which was the exception that proves the rule. So I would say for most players and fans international football is no longer a step up in class, thoughts?
 
In the older days it was what players strived for international caps and qualifying for different tournaments it put them in the shop window to compete withn the best

Nowadays it's seen as a hindrance by ungrateful pampered twats ,there was one on the news tonight he isn't supposed to run after playing 90 minutes only 2 days before
WTF no wonder we don't qualify for anything

On the Ryan Cack incident,was he at a concentration camp doing his 11 K at gunpoint or is he just not able to cope with the demands of Europe and SPFL. Just can't get my head round the fact that he could not say he is unable to complete the training.
 
Money ruined football worldwide and in Scotlands case, ebt cheating fkrs ruined scottish football and the folk who were running the SFA couldn't see it for there love of Murray and Rangers

Youth football scouting develpoment went out the window as clubs spent money they never had to just stay in the same league as the tax cheats .

So generations of talent were dumped by the way side and cheque book players took there place ,even now clubs are living on the never never lights on from one year to the other with no money spent on youth recruitment /scouting and development

For all the clubs who loathe us and celebrate when we drop out of europe ,it would be interesting to see how much of the european windfall they get is spent on their Reserve and youth football

Yes! I still think Murray bringing in all these imports (funded for by the banks and never repaid) changed Scottish fitba for the worse. As you rightly say many local boys were never given a chance and dumped as all the other SPL clubs tried to keep up with Diedco by bringing in (mostly third rate) foreigners too.

As a nation we never recovered and the useless brethern running the SFA are to insular, backward and self-obsessed to be capable of fixing our national sport if they were bothered to even try!

Aye kelly,when we qualified for CL group stages,every club got between 3 or £400,000,thanks Celtic....naw, but they aw cheer like phuq when we don't make it! :mad:

it's the elephant in the room that nobody wants to point to that helped ruin scottish football and it will never change while the losers running the SFA are still in power

Remember a couple of years ago that staunch Ulsterman Craigan gloating after we got gubbed in Europe, Sutton responded pointing out that Motherwell's reward for Celtic's participation in the Champions League was over 20% of their annual turnover.

Without this windfall Motherwell would have had to make big cutbacks in expense and Craigan's job coaching their youths probably would have been the first to go.

That arsehole then just replied to Sutton like a petulant sulking child.

They all seem to ignore that fact the cash keeps there lights on and when that's the case then questions should be asked why they cannot run a sustainable buisness

Why have they never improved their buisness year on year is it lack of ambition or just a case of hand outs let other clubs fill your pockets

11k is just over 6.83 miles, this is the total training time including set pieces etc all monitored in their high tec vests. The media and slippy are highlighting this like it is all in one go, twisting sprinting constant for 11 K fucking bullshit story, wee fanny must have winged it in the derby thinking the glory was there for the taking, obviously read the media and believed the shite. Backfired big time found out, see why Aberdeen don't miss him. Another one who ce;lebrated Scott Brown scoring his derby goal for him.
