The earthquake hit just south of San Francisco at 8:41 a.m. local time, according to the US Geological Survey. The epicenter was just west of Colma, which is in San Mateo County and south of San Francisco. The earthquake had a depth of 4.7 miles, but there have been no reports of damage from the earthquake so far

I'm fine. Thanks, everyone, for your concern. Had 3 quakes in the last 24 hours, ranging between 4.5 and 5, and the last one came while I was watching Israel-Latvia (Elhamed and Bitton). No power loss, thank goodness.

Looks like the East German judge at the U.S. Geological Survey downgraded the last one about an hour ago, scoring it only a 4.7 on the Richter Scale.

Because they're such a regular occurrence, we are usually pretty nonchalant about earthquakes, unless they are in the 6-7 range and they happen nearby. We have a drill, obviously, when they're that bad (get outside or stand in a doorway, turn off gas if you smell it leaking, etc.) Otherwise, it's sort of like this scene from "L.A. Story"
