Don't know if anyone has seen the footage of the recent spurs press conference. I caught a bit of it on bbc sport. Was quite an interesting watch.

Reporters are in pre match conference before everton game and reporters are clearly asking questions re rumours of manager to man utd. Press officer basically shuts them down thereby relieving the manager of the responsibility and making headlines.

Is it maybe time we had something so that issues can be addressed without the manager being subject to sound bites from our biased SMSM

All depends how, and when, it's done. Besides I'm sure Brendan is capable of tackling the press. The Scottish media will spin whatever has been said to suit their own agenda anyway.

Im not in any way advocating that they take over the interviews or provide soundbites just step in and take the flack in certain situations thereby starving the bigoted beast that is the SMSM. The guy basically told them not to soeak about certain issues as theu had previously been covered and stop the interview if theu dont behave and allow the manager to field the real questions

Would agree with you on that Donnelly.They are like a salivating dog when it comes to an iminent sacking.They would sit there all day and night asking questions over and over until there tongues bleed.Fuk the football we want to know like a brat in a toy shop.In general no need especially with BR holding fort.He slapped down that wee ugly hun johnathan sutherland after the Leipzig game.All he wanted to talk about after beating one of Bundesliga's finest was the away goal and how distraught he must feel.BR just said shut it ya wee ugly hun troll we have just beat a class German side and right away you want to talk about the negatives.Shut the wee hun right up.No press officer need apply.
