Stoppage time between Juve and Sassuolo, Douglas Costa throws an elbow as he gets up after fouling a player, then throws a headbutt and bizzarely only gets booked for it. A moment later as play is being restarted after a goal, he squares up the same player and spits IN HIS MOUTH, ref misses it but the cameras didn't. Play is then stopped and Costa is sent off.
Referee didn't actually go over to look at a monitor, it was a VAR that spoke to him in his ear. Less than a minute between the ref not seeing the spit and Costa being sent off. A perfect example of how VAR needs to be used here.
