I never tire of hearing thatI believe you told me to save my last can D, you're a good man, unlike that pair of degenerates!
Now, the wet paper towel around the can and in the freezer for 15 minutes, chills the beer, it really does work
But, don't leave it in too long, otherwise you get an iceberg for a beer, not a good thing

I've been ocean kayaking, for about 30 years, ran my own kayak instruction business and taught many people, how to paddle & kayak properly, without getting wet
It's a dry sport, unless you do something stupid, or actually want to learn a 'wet exit' and get back into your boat, successfully, all part of a great day on the water
Your 'convection quote reminded me of the day, just about 30 yards from a packed beach
One of my student (a young lady in her mid twenties) found out about temperature differences, as she capsized
Middle of August, a sunny day, about 90 degrees and she surfaces with her best, Samuel L Jackson, as she shot above the boat, shouting: "MUTHAFUCKER !!!"
People on the beach were startled...she found out, that no matter what season it is, the water is always cold, about 4 feet below the surface
