The heat of Lisbon & glow of a treble treble: Archie McPherson

Dont usually put much stock by him. I remember his one sided commentary.

However, that said, it was a decent read and we shall bend the knee to no cant

Thanks Niall ??

:) He's a great writer. His book on Stein is brilliant if you ever get a chance to read it and his own autobiography is a really honest account too. He clearly loved Stein that's for sure

I can see he is a good writer, Niall.

The flow of the article you put up was a pleasure to read.

And he interviewed the lions a fortnight ago which was fantastic too.

I suppose i just hold a resentment of his cant contain his excitement over the filth in the games he commentated on.

Yes, his book on Jock is excellent. He was clearly one of Jock's go-to journalists whenever he wanted info, act as an intermediary with a third party or to get a story into the public domain. I still don't like him that much though. He'll always be a bit if a fanny in my mind - far too flowery in his writing and biased for them!
