It will be like televisions. What we think of today as tv is very different to what John Logie Baird invented (although Coronation bloody Street was probably on JLB's tv back then too). He did invent the television but it was another set-up that progressed to the first broadcasts (I think it was the Germans).
She was clearly a clever cookie either way, even if was just a precursor to Wi-Fi that she invented.
