I hope now that such results will actually wake up the Scottish FA to highlight just how far behind Scottish player development really is nowadays.
Not bothered about the result as such but where is the pathway for development?

Sure these Madrid players have a much better pathway mapped out than ours as such, and is it any wonder we still need to look further afield for younger players still.
With these new European rules for european football coming into play now this area within the club and Scottish football can't remain unattended still.
It's only in a few years time that we could be hoping and expecting such players as used today in having to make up numbers and to get to a standard of being able to represent the club at major European level and looks like plenty of work still needs to be done and all without a secure development path in play either.
So the real question in play here is weather Scottish Young football going to continue to standstill, why such competitions such as this allows European football to continue to move forward?????

But if the people running scottish football pump cash into grass roots and the development of Scottish youth players how on earth will they afford their all expenses paid get togethers and 1st class flights around the world.
