And after Matty's huge upturn in form, the usual rumours start about EPL clubs sniffing around for his signature.

This time it is the mighty Brentford being linked with trying to poach him. Now this is what is all wrong about modern football IMO. Niall J used to write often on here about how well Brentford ran their operations as they climbed the leagues so this is no dig at them as such.

But for a very small insignificant club who have accomplished nowt, and are likely to accomplish feck all in the game (mid-table survival will be celebrated by them), to have a realistic chance of being able to poach one of the best players at a highly successful, world-recognises club competing in the Champions League is just pathetic.

We all recognise that there is a big likelihood that MO'R will leave in the next year or two, but he deserves a much bigger club than fecking Brentfotd! And yet, they could pay a much higher salary than the likes of us, Ajax, Porto, Liege, etc, etc.
