Apologies in advance for repeating myself, but the massive elephant in the room in our eye watering wage bill, I agree with every post on this forum demanding players for certain position's in the team, we certainly need 2 or 3 first team ready permanant signings. My anger is aimed at the people at our club who over the years have let our squad become bloated with players on an absolute fortune in Scottish terms, who aren't going anywhere fast.
I think our signing policy would be so much different if we didn't have to pay the squad the vast sums we are doing at the moment. We are now left with a head scratching policy of getting in loan players like (Roberts, Weah and Burke) all of them on a fortune, while im happy to have some real quality in the squad and welcome these lads with open arms, it does seem to fly in the face of our business model of sign them young, develop and sell on for profit. Makes no sense to me at all.

I understand your concerns

The amount of players who arrive here and do Heehaw and pick up a fat pay packet is rediculohs

I know that if they are given a contract they have the right to get their dough but that's the fault of the ones who agree the contracts

Off the top of my head I can make half a dozen players who by no stretch of the imagination have been good value for money for Celtic

2. Gamboa A knee jerk buy

3. Mulumbu Ditto

5. Hayes Even when fully fit struggles to get in the squad

6. Kouassi Ditto

Would be interesting to find out the combined weekly wage of these 6 and just how much money is being wasted

I agree but out of the 6 I mentioned only Kouassi could be regarded as a young(ISH) player The rest have presumably 'done it's prior to arriving here and someone who really should know better thought that it might be a good idea to bring them here

The amount of money spent on COMPER alone Buying him Signing Fee and wages could have more than payed for John McGinn instead of fannying about making derisory offers until it was too fuckin' late

What do we want as a club are we genuinely happy with what we have or do we need new signings are we happy to let Lawell and board bank everything or do we want to stand by and let us be a feeder club for the rest and before people start saying we can’t afford marquee signings I’m not looking for that I would rather sign players if they’re good enough that support the celts they’ll come but we never really take advantage of that any more anyhow in my opInion well never see Larson ever again at our club or player of that ilk or quality for that I blame lawell

Would hope DD would get involved and sort this out before it is too late. Everyone knew we needed to strengthen our defense but we got midfielders and forward players. What other profession would you hire the wrong people to fill skilled jobs. Bet DD head of recruitment would not hire a bin man to do mechanics job or employ blind man to fly his jet. Come on Celtic all we want is value for money and a team we can be proud of.
