What would happen?

I was thinking about this....
Imagine our board called out the cheating and corruption in scottish football. Not just calling it out but producing the proof. So concrete our media couldn't even ignore it.
Would the people running the game be forced out or would they grip onto their power?
Imagine, because of this, we lost all sponsorship for the league. Sky and BT pulled out and there was no TV deal for Scottish football.
How quickly would the smaller teams go to the wall and what would happen to Celtic??
Would we continue to be a professional team in a semi-pro league?? Or would we have to force a move from Scottish football?
What do you Bhoys and Ghirls think would happen to Scottish football, and mainly Celtic, if the truth was to be put out there for the world to see??

The truth is hiding in plain sight yet the corrupt still choose to look away. That doesn't mean they should be allowed to get away with it. Confront them with the truth at every opportunity.

Therein lies the problem, Lubo.

The first thing to consider is that you, I, and pretty much everyone else in Scottish football is aware of the skullduggery that has gone on (and continues to persist) in Scottish football.

Some of the worst kept secrets in the mismanagement and governance of our game could be easily described as factual; however without the solid evidence to square it in the eyes of law - then it is little more than hearsay or speculation.

Going into any recognised court (including CAS) without factual and substantive evidence would be pointless and would only end up with Celtic bearing the cost of legal fees and reputational damage for a frivolous lawsuit. It would also make it unlikely for Celtic to get a second bite at it if the evidence ever did come to light.

An honest media with all of it's resources, should be all over this like fleas on shite, but our media is only as honest as Jabba wants it to be and an award-winning story about industrial-scale cheating, corruption, conspiracy to commit crime, fraud, and cheating the taxpayer is gathering dust on the shelf.

Someone or some persons have the payload on this. No doubt there will be an explosive autobiography some day, but, for now, it's the perfect armour to prevent any media or legal hit-jobs.

In terms of Celtic, we still have to play in a competitive league to retain any level of credibility. I'm sure that the club would survive easily enough, but the appetite to watch Celtic play in the equivalent of the Welsh or Northern Irish league would be noticeable in the stadium and in the quality of player willing to ply their trade here.

Does that mean that those who cheated in the first instance should get a free pass? No feckin way, but evidence is the keystone in any legal undertaking and without the smoking gun, then pistol Pete is only firing more blanks.
