I know Pele's son was a coke addict and drug trafficker but haven't read about Pele himself taking cocaine (although he could well have been, especially in New York in the late 1970s). I'd be interested to read about it if you have a link.

Whereas Maradona openly admits/boasts about being addicted to cocaine and how he used to use a plastic penis charged with clean urine to beat the drug tests.

I don't have a link to any story. I knew pele's neighbour when he played for the cosmos. He lived in Manhattan. He told me the parties were mental. Lucky for him there was no social media at the time. I wasn't aware of his son being a drug addict.
