Aberdeen v Celtic - Match Thread

They’re fit TET just not trying a fucking leg imo

HH 😞
I thought they were much closer to a celtic style than Ive seen all season

Duffy better no be fit coz he is way off pace and clumsy

Ajeti was breathless after 10 minutes and he wasn't really very dynamic

Ajer is just no a cb for me

maybe a right back in defence with his dynamic running and eye for pass but no last man defender

would even be better in midfield than cb

elyounousi wasn't great

laxalt was dangerous and decent defensively

cal was much better in central role

christie was ok but wind was ruining his passes

I actually thought we played much more like a team than other matches recently

I wouldn't be unhappy if Lenny was replaced

he let torpor and hubris set in

And we are struggling to get up to celtic class as result

wasted too much money without making team any better.

If Lennon stays we lose the league.
No matter which players he chooses, what formation he sets them up in, they are not performing for him. The team look poorly coached, there is no structure anywhere on the pitch, its random and off the cuff. We are relying on individual brilliance at moments in games to win, and those moments have been few and far between this season. The defence is a shambles, the midfield pedestrian and up front we are not creating enough chances for our strikers.
Stick with him and we can wave goodbye to 10 in a row.

I'll get the excuses oot the road first:

1. Billy boy golum is a fucking tool
2. Aberdeen is the gateway to the Arctic Tundra.

Now I'll get the positives sorted:

1. McGregor's goal shows how effective pass and move can be.
2. Sparky is still the best Scottish striker around.

Now the negatives:

1. Ah fuck that........I'll lose the will to live if I had to list them all. Most of you will have seen the same as what I saw, so there's no point flogging a dead horse (although Lenny thinks that's the answer to everything).

Wrong players. Wrong formation. Only turn up when we're losing then switch right off again when we're winning. No part of the team plays as a unit. No movement at all off the ball. Shocking delivery from set-pieces. Senseless, idiotic, unnecessary challenges in our own half (especially around our own penalty area). Lack of cohesion. Lack of understanding. Lack of basic passing & crossing ability. Lack of passion (particularly the first half).

We all see that, don't we? That's not just me over-reacting, is it?

Aberdeen are a solid set of journeymen pros. They know their limitations, but we're in pretty poor shape if that's the best we can come up with there. It's not the fact that we drew that game or lost last week.........it's the manner in which we drew and lost that causes me concern.

How can Celtic give me such natural highs then cause me to have such gut-wrenching lows?

The general consensus at the start of the season was that only Celtic could defeat Celtic.........ain't that the fucking case?

This season so far the team has struggled to break teams down and defend to any great degree today was a prime example of that eventually get into a winning position and allow a player to run through the middle past 3or4players without 1 of them making a tackle them end up conceding a penalty to drop points is not the way you will win the league. Something is far wrong Edouard should have been fit enough to play today Armstrong is playing for Southampton today so whatever is going on behind the scenes that make the team play in such a lacklustre manner needs to be sorted out and quickly or come Xmas we could be so far adrift the league will be gone.

I think he needs to go

his media chats are no good enough for me personally and its everybody but his crap management

his signings this season haven't been good enough

results haven't been good enough

entertainment hasn't been good enough

team were better today but he still has to go

too little too late imo

Sorry to say it, but I have finally lost all faith in Neil Lennon after today's performance. It was desperation tactics in the HOPE of getting something. And when we had it, it was blown away again. A committed fighting team would not have allowed those last four minutes to happen.
Lennon and the complete management team and coaches have to go now. The job at hand is now well beyond them.

Change IMMEDIATELY, if we are to have any chance of saving TIAR.

I don't really know who is available but even a lucrative short term contract for a proven manager and coaches is worth it for this season's prize.

Money in a bank account does not buy TIAR, history and Celtic immortality.
If Dermot Desmond and his board don't see this, then they are totally negligent to the wellbeing of the Club and should go as well.

A club is its fans. The past and present generations of Celtic fans deserve this for the unwaivering loyalty and committment shown to the club since its foundation.
The future generations will speak of it with pride and awe. A marker will be laid down. They will try to emulate it. This is how you build and sustain a club.

Neil Lennon's legacy and committment to the club is assured, recognised and totally valued. Do it first Neil.

I’ll keep saying it Eddy Howe good young manager did a great job int EPL good coach good manager his teams had to Defend but also played some good football in a big league as a small fish. Wonder what he would do as a big fish in a pish pond (just quoting the Englandershizen).
WGS has had his time let’s think outside the box just for once let’s not do this cheaply not for the 10 it’s too important.

HH 🍀

Why Gordon and Hayes were allowed to leave is beyond me?. I’m not criticising Bain As I said earlier we needed 2 CBs we got one in. And he’s pathetic. Desmond,Lawwell and the board. If the 10IAR is away, which looks likely, they’ve got a lot to answer for. Lennon etc if you keep playing your favourites, no matter how bad they’re playing, we’ll keep dropping points or losing games.
