Off-topic: Ask a Basque

Uztai you're fucking up my head with your lengthy posts. Chill the fuck out and don't use words with more than 5 letters(including sentances) lol. Keep it short and sweet cos I'm on the swally now.
Your cooperation would be much appreciated???

Haha, mint. ???

Do you guys makes good wine??

Yes we do! Very good red wine in the southwestern part of the Basque Country (some Rioja wines are Basque - some are from the bordering Spanish region). A beautiful region to visit as well, this is Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa, definitely worth a trip:

We also have our own variety of white wine in the Basque coast, which is named txakolin. A bit sparkling (just a bit, it's not champagne!) and quite dry, acidic tasting. This is what a typical producing area near the village of Getaria looks like:

There's also rosé wine in Navarre, but those are the two most famous wine types here.

Is Navarra part of the Basque country??

It's part of the Basque Country in a historical, geographical and cultural sense. In fact, I'd say Navarre is at the core of Basque identity and culture. It is not part of the autonomous Basque region, but its own Spanish autonomous region. Any Basque nationalist would answer "yes", and most Spanish nationalists would answer "no".

Politically, Basque nationalism polls around 33% in Navarre. The north of Navarre is mostly Basque-speaking, the south is mostly Spanish-speaking, and the middle area around Pamplona is more of a mixed bag. There is a strong current of anti-Basque ideology in Navarre, fairly new (40-year-old or so) that claims Navarre has absolutely nothing to do with Basque identity and culture. It's just a reaction to Basque nationalism - and a stupid one at that, Romans called the Basque language Lingua Navarrorum, which speaks for itself doesn't it?

I'll leave a map below this, it probably explains it way better than I do!

Spanish mainstream ideology would say only the western three provinces are the Basque Country. Well, they wouldn't have an issue calling the ones in France the French Basque Country, just as long as you leave Navarre out of it. Navarre is their Basque Ulster and they need it separate from the rest of the Basque Country. I would need a massive thread to explain the amount of political debauchery it required from them in the last 80-something years to impede the existence of a unified Basque autonomy within Spain.

You're trying too hard.

With justification you're credentials have been seriously questioned. Whoever you serve we have an aversion to.

Do us all a favour...reinvent yourself and come back and try again as someone or something more plausible.

How about a Palestinian on the West Bank. We'll buy that one.

I'm not trying at all, I love explaining things about my country. This is not to prove myself, it's for genuinely interested users. If you have questions, have a go. They don't need to be of the googleable type. If for whatever reason you don't believe I am who I say I am that's okay, but no need to repeat yourself. Just close the door when you get out (y)

This is Italy nowhere near the Galowgate in Calton but it is famous for wine.
Like Basque i am intereted as to wether they too have been known to produce a lot of bullshitters, as i say it would be interesting from were you come from?
prosecco hills.jpgNice use of copy and paste impressive.

Which Piamonte wines would you recommend me?

Because I could recommend you a few Rioja wines I like :)

Edit: Also, sorry for repeating myself. But it's very rude to continuously call someone an imposter. There are many options for you: you could choose to ignore my posts, ignore this thread altogether, even block me, it's just a couple of clicks. Not sure why you choose the group harassment route but it's not the classiest one. Just saying.

Keeping tabs on you and stopping you from dripping poison on my fellow supporters stpos you from trying to disrupt this Celtic Forum.

Uztai Lie.... still do, eh

As you stated to me the last time read the post.Imposter is not mentioned.

As they say if the shoe fits. Could i recommend a good buckie and greggs sausage roll for you, i am sure you have probably savoured these two as they are now international products, even reaching far flung places like Ibrox and the bristol.

Fortunately you and your other little paranoid friends are not representative of the Celtic fans I've come across through the years, the overwhelming majority of which have always felt proud of the fact Celtic happens to attract supporters all over the world, even those like myself with no personal Irish Catholic or Scottish connection.

If every other tim were like you, it certainly wouldn't be A Club Open To All. Happily it's not the case.

Now stop boycotting this thread, please. I've reported your last message as you clearly have no intention to stop acting like a child.

Stop boycotting this thread?

Oh the importance of an ego maniac remaining true to his lying deceitful ways.

Genuine question. What have I missed that suggests Uztai is a current or some other type of unfriendly presence?

I was back in Scotland for the Salzburg game. Me and my mate helped a Basque gentleman find his way from the university to Kelvingrove museum while heading to Finnieston for refreshments. Had a lengthy talk about Athletici Bilbao and football in general. Wasn’t you was it?

Nope, haven't been there since summer 2017!

Been to the Alaves v Athletic derby tonight, not the best game ever, 0-0. We had a good chance and blew it but all in all the result both teams deserved. Thought this would be the year I'd see Alaves get Champions League action but it seems unlikelier now. Meh.
