Who could replace Neil Lennon

I keep hearing this pish that we need to stick with NL because there are no better candidates to take over the job.
If that's the case the pool of managers must be terrible. I hope to God we don't limit our ambitions with a "celtic minded" manager, especially that fud Paul Lambert who likes to push the victim and survival lies from Ibrox.
Here are a few managers we would have a good chance of getting.

Marcelino - led valencia to 2 4th place finishes in la liga. Before that he got villarreal promoted back to la liga, then 3 top 6 finishes and a europa league semi. He has a clearly defined style, 442 with pace on the wings.

Luciano Spalletti - whats not to love about this guy. A bit crazy, doesn't put up with shite and had roma finishing 2nd 3 seasons in a row. He also took udinese to the champions league

Leonardo Jardim - won the French league with Monaco put man City out of the champions league. The team he build at Monaco was amazing and the style of play was brilliant to watch.

Laurent Blanc- alright he's been out of work since 2016 but he's a better manager and coach than lennon. Blanc won even in his first job, taking the title, the cup, and two Supercups with Bordeaux. His two years with France followed without trophies. He made up for it at PSG with three titles, two French Cups and three French League Cups, alongside three super cups.

Other managers without a job go to Ralf Rangnick,Walter Mazzarri, Cesare Prandelli, Dunga, Eddie Howe, and Jurgen Klinsmann.

What do I know though. Maybe Lennon is a better manager than 10 managers I've just listed. Somehow I don't think so

Klopp? 🤣

I really don't care who the manager will be......as long as they can communicate with the players properly and get back to winning ways.....because we have the players....The difference between our top man last season and this season is unbelievable.....

When I was playing in my younger days..if the manager shouted at me...I would try harder...because thats what happened then......now...if the manager growls at a player....they try less.....so thats why we need an up to date manager to get the best out of them.....sad I know....but that's the way it is.......

You make them all sound like wonderful prospects but just remind me again.... why are they all unemployed?

Yup. We didn’t like it when the manager lost hus rag and started shouting either. But the last thing you would have down is down tools. That would have been the end of your playing career there.
But with contract situations these days the players have the upper hand.
That seems to turn some of them into prima donnas who believe they are more important than the team or club. Saw the Mechelen (?) coach say something similar about Shved the other day.

Unfortunately its Desmond and Lawwell choosing any new manager so it'll be between John Kennedy and Jack Ross

So is Kennedy Peter Lawwell's love child? That's the only reason I can come up with why (1) he's still at the club (2) keeps on getting promoted at the club (3) his mum is getting pumped off Lawwell end won't give him his hole if he fires her son

With respect to all NL supporters and I know there are still a few out there NL has had his day.
First time around he had run out ideas and the football had become tedious - he then failed at both Bolton and Hibs before returning to Celtic to take control of a fine tuned machine that had been built by BR however it has unfortunately gone down hill very fast. So in all honesty I think you be hard placed to find anyone that couldn't do a better job. My personal choice would be MON as director of football with Roy Keane as manager. That combination would bring back a touch of class with the total winning mentality that is obviously now lacking.

Think that would be a good shout MON as a director of football but wouldn't want Keane whosoever, had a couple of opportunities and failed miserably.
I think a European manager would be the way forward on a football front, but trying to attract such a manager to Scottish football will be a task in itself

Are you having a laugh. MON is a dinosaur of the game. As much as I love the guy, it would be a backwards step going for him.
Roy Keane, whats he's done as a manager? He's old school like lennon and wouldn't change much. He's already told Peter Lawwell to bolt the last time he was approached.
No imagination, let's get so.e Irish guys in who "know" the club. Thank god you won't be picking the next manager

Our teams/club needs an identity.
At the same time as appointing a manager, we need to relinquish the grip the Fat Controller has and get a real Director of Football. Tell the finance people to fuck off back to adding and subtracting, not watching scouting video's FFS.
The DOF needs to be the constant at the Club, managers will come and go, but we need them to implement a style and an adaptable formation thats been taught throughout the youths. A strategic long term plan rather than whats going wrong now. Not changing our formation like boxer shorts and signing players to suit a formation thats changed constantly throughout the season. Over the years you appoint managers that buy into the style you've ingrained.
I'd say that appointment would in the long run be as important as the managerial appointment.
Get the Celtic Way drummed into these youth's early doors so we have teams that attack every fucking team that dares sets foot on oor hallowed turf. Attaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack the b'stards
Then we'll bring the thunder, white lightning and hailstones to the party

I'd love for the last 10 years to be the next 10, but i'm not daft. We'll win what we win, but i'd rather watch football played properly by a mix of experienced and youngish bhoys coming through than hand fortunes to some of these lazy mercenaries that trample all over clubs proud being.

On ACSOM PJ Dykes said a number of managers have been in contact with the club through their agents & expressed an interest, but again bizarrely the board aren't prepared to listen & continue as is.

Steve Clarke was for me the best & most realistic option that we could have appointed at least until the end of the season, whilst also allowing him to continue his Scotland duties.

Seamus Duffy ‘knows’ the club, and that hasn’t worked out.
