Celtic v Hearts Scottish Cup Final - Match Thread

Reading the rancid saying beaton deemed the stamp on broony as accidental meaning there will probably be no retrospective action (dejavu anyone?) Also accidentally caught broony in the neck/face oh the pain is sweet , time to die a slow death daily rancid similar to oldco ☘

No way it was accidental. He wasn't off balance and could easily have stepped the other way. It was deliberate because he is a bitter thug.

So nice to wake up to know your team are the Quadruple Treble Champions!

What a freakin emotional rollercoaster that game was! I don't think I've been put through anything quite like that on the inside before. I try to stay calmish on the exterior but that was torture.

So pleased for Hazard yesterday. He had a couple of dodgy moments but I suppose we have to remember the circumstances and the fact it's only his THIRD 1st team start. All in all, he must be commended for the saves that brought the Cup home. Loved his gesture to Gordon at the end as well, when all he must've wanted to do was run around like a headless chicken celebrating, he remembered how his opposite number must've been feeling. Class.

Mikey back on the pitch was great to see. Wasn't it just written that Griff was going to notch one against them? Eddy's penalty will be etched in ma nut for years!

Delighted for everyone at the club who've put in the hard yards to achieve this incredible feat. There are definitely things that are needing to be addressed but that's for another time and another thread.

HH Guys

Mon the HOOOOOOOOPS!

I did not read in any of the rags or bbc of the great acheivement of this amazing feat that the club have acheived. I have read about "Scott Brown in furious bust up" "Brown and Naismith battle steals the show" "Craig Gordon rages at Odsonne Edouards". Where is the congratulations ? If it had been the Huns acheived this it would be front page news.

Utter cunts, but I enjoy the pain they are in looking to denigrate anything we achieve. They're still hurting over their bottle merchants fucking up in Paisley. Fuck them.

Just a thought,if the goal line technology could give a signal to say it was a goal why did the same technology not tell the officials that the goalkeeper was held by Naismith??? He stopped the corner so he could split up Naismith and Broonie so you would assume that he was watching when the ball came over,if that was the area he expected trouble how come he could not see the goalkeeper was being obstructed ?? It was a good 15 /20 seconds delay before the signal came through to the ref from where???lots of questions but so far no answer has no one question this??

Apparently Hawkeye was in use for the goal line tech but that's all

Digger - it is a multiple camera based system like Hawkeye in tennis which is designed to purely tell whether or not the ball crosses the line. It isn't interpreted by a person so it wasn't a case of replays being examined by a VAR ref. Why it took so long to inform Beaton I don't know - possibly because he isn't used to having it as a tool. But he didn't need any replays to see that Naismith clearly fouled the keeper. He had a clear view of it and Naismith had been doing his nonsense at every corner during the match so any qualified referee would have been keeping a close eye on his shenanigans. The fact that there were extra assistant refs beside the goals to watch for this type of offence by either side makes it all the more galling (bearing in mind they didn't need to watch for the ball crossing the line as the Hawkeye system already had that covered).

Thanks for the info, so the 8 officials we had there were as in the past a waste of time and money thanks again

Watching that I must admit my heart went out to Craig Gordon ( not for Eddie's pen btw) ...a bit......one of the better goalkeepers we've ever had....the guy is a Celtic invicible winner and that shouldn't be forgotten
Thats true Docco, although some say that when he threw the ball at Eddie it was the nearest he got to hitting a Celtic player with a pass in 3yrs. 😂
