Just amazing photos Lennono

I cant work out how you manage to capture so many different species in so many interesting poses in such beautiful settings, and then have the camera ready to catch that moment.

Do you spend much time waiting for a bite like fishermen with a rod?

Or do you own a giant loch and a bird sanctuary in the middle.

Just breath taking photo after photo.

You must have a full catalogue of stunning photographs

Hi TET

Thanks for that...

After doing this for a lot of years....I get to know where to go, to get the best chance of a certain bird....when I arrive, i position myself, thinking about the background in front of me and also I have to get the light behind me for best exposure...I then work out my shutter speed, aperture and ISO values as well as focus settings......Then, if the bird does arrive.....I cannot obviously choose the pose etc...so I have to wait till the birds head is a few degrees towards the viewer, for max attention....and the pose is spot on......That's for perched birds, but birds in flight is so much more difficult.....But when it all comes together...it works out fine....I am still learning after all these years...but I am on the top table now.....Scottish guys have always been good at Wildlife Photography

So pleased for you lennono, these captures need to be exposed to a wider audience. perseverance hopefully reaping rewards for you, HH.

Simply brilliant Lennono each photo better than the one before . I wondered if you studied ornithology such is your interest in birds. Funny enough I had an ex bird (deliberate) who did this type of challenging photography. I was amazed then as I am now at the wonder of the images captured. It takes considerable patience and an understanding of some bird biology to do what you are doing. I see you talk about exposure, light, sharpness, perch, pose, etc ...I have heard all these terms from the ex before but never paid much attention ..but you have brought it all very much back to me. Keep doing what you are doing ..fantastic stuff ..Hail Hail to the bird man !!
