Ano but its really affected Scotland's economy and they know it so why would they even bother offering 20?? which in this climate I've said i would accept they will come in low theres reports in the daily mail saying 15 will be accepted I'm assuming the article is also saying theres add ons in that deal if it was true which I doubt tbh but I'm expecting low all offers cause of covid
 
Mail down south reporting that Leicester have won the race to sign Edouard for £15m, with PSG due 40% of any profit (£2.4m) leaving us a profit of £3.6m.
Cant see it being that low unless there's a Leicester player involved, a huge sell on or its structured to minimise how much we owe PSG.
If true then Lawwell/Hammond are idiots, Lee Congerton making them look like amateurs.
FWIW, listening to the Transfer Window podcast yesterday and Ian McGarry, Celtic supporting journalist based down south, said that Celtic are looking for £23m (25m euros) and Arsenal are interested in Eddy as a replacement for Lacazette. Given McGarry was correct, and ahead of everyone else, on the KT transfer I would tend to think he is a more reliable guide as to how much we are looking for for Eddy.
 
The report in the mail is bollocks in my view. Transfer window opening is 4 MONTHS away so no transfers are going to be signed and sealed. All this signifies is Leicester showing their hand and actually putting a low-ball offer out there to show they are at least serious.
Arsenal are interested though I think they have to get rid of a few players, particularly Lacazette, before they can buy, but given their positive experience on KT, where they feel they got an absolute bargain - I think they won’t have any qualms about paying that same level of £25m fee for Eddy.

I think we want any deal done asap, certainly by June as any transfer fee for Eddy will make the year end financials look a bit better than it currently looks where its heading. Frimpong, Ntcham and Eddy monies will massively reduce losses for the FY. Make the books look good at end of June, spend a (small) percentage of monies received in July/August to help the new manager.
 
Eddy will not and cannot go for £15m,Rogers know,s the quality he will be buying and he know,s he wont get Eddy for silly money.
We are led to believe Rogers has come in with an offer of £15m,not a bad first offer,not good but not bad,it is the final offer which matters because just as we are being led by the nose to believe Leicester have made the £15m offer we are also being led to believe that Arsenal and Villa are also chasing Eddy,so if what we are being led to believe is true there is still plenty of life left in this bidding war,or maybe we will just sell him to Brendan for £15m as the Dialy Ranger suggests..

For what it's worth, here's my two cents:
MSM going into high gear, as the zombies close in on their first title, in their short nine year history
Stories abound about Eddie wanted by teams in England, and his price dropping
Then, we have the emotional midgets,within the support, shouting the odds about 'Dom McKay Out' (cue the bedsheets making an appearance) he's not even in yet, and people want him out, gie's peace
Mind you that was in the MSM this morning :rolleyes:
Covid has fucked clubs financially, families financially, and if a player wants away, then there's nothing clubs can do to prevent it
It's like selling your car, it's worth what someone is willing to pay, that's it
You can shout all you want about what it's worth, but at the end of the day, it's a buyers market

Word is Arsenal willing to start bidding at 21.3 mil...Thierry Henri has recommended Eddie to them as a steal at that price. Seems a bit more realistic when all considered. Feck the MsM.

This is a story from the daily mail I think. £15 million for Edouard is laughable for a player of such quality and I can't see us selling at that price, also cant see him staying he will leave I'm certain. If PSG have a 30% sell on clause that's what £3.5 million to them meaning a £2.5 million profit for Celtic? The only way I can contemplate this happening is if Celtic made certain promises to eddy that he could leave for the club of his choice, highly unlikely. Has to be north of £25 million minimum. £25 million would mean PSG recieve £7.5 million and us £8.5 million, that's a bit more like it to me . Given all that peter lawell has completely destroyed this season it cant be put past him leaving us with another final parting shambles swipe. DD though? Would he really invest £9 million for edouard only to recieve £2.5 million ? That's some gamble for Celtic and we are hardly the gambling type when it comes to this kind of money. We will soon see though. HH ☘
