Roy Keane.

Roy wants the managers job. Any thoughts troops?
Domestic yes
Europe probably No

We already had a guy at the helm who took no shite, but he never got the other aspects right in other areas, would Keane offer and bring a tactical knowledge or would getting Keane entice Damien Duff for that side, if so aye all day long. Also think huns would fear Roy Keane and Keane would handle the nonesense no sweat, he has put a lot of them in thier boxes for years.

Big name, but only because of his achievements as a player and as an outspoken pundit, not as a manager.
I can't imagine he'd be listed in the top 100 young managers in Europe so he's not the answer for me. I really think we need a proven, experienced manager not a punt at a big name.
That's what makes us all different hoopy. Different opinions within the celtic family, keeps us all on our toes and sane. ☘️

Main concer with me Hoopy is the coaching side, always good to have a figurehead who can handle the media and PR and not scared to call them out he fits that bill. but a coach is a must and they must be allowed to coach their way, no inteference only shared advice.

No for me, to divisive a character, would cause ever more disharmony in the dressing room than there is now, would make Lennon look like pussy cat, the hairdryer approach is so outdated now, the superstars need their egos massaged nowadays, plus has done NOTHING in management to suggest he’d be a success 😱

Not sure what Roy was doing when the snake slithered south but if he was the right man for the job wouldn't we have gone after him then?
I don't think his managerial status has gone up any since then thats for sure.
I fear he might be the sort of target that will float DD's boat though, big name, Irish, ex Celtic player (just)
Dont get me wrong if he gets the job I'll be behind him 100%, hes just not the answer to our problems imo.

Not for me Ally,Roy is a car crash waiting to happen.
Show me somebody who has had success, somebody who can command respect.
IMO neither Roy or How or Wilder have the credentials to become the next Celtic manager.
The daily ranger and the sun are trying to either choose the next Celtic manager or wind us up.
Neither will work.
I dont know the answer but I will ask the question..do any of these 3 candidates have a managerial success to their name,if not why should we be lumbered with any of these 3 failures.
Sunderland players celebrated Roy walking out in 2008 leaving Sunderland in 18th position is this somebody we want to manage Celtic.
All 3 are looking for the path back to the EPL at the expense of Celtic,we knew this was Rodgers agenda when he arrived but he came to us with a very decent reputation, can we say the same about these 3 candidates..
I realise this is a very long longshot but I think it is worth mentioning.
Shaun Maloney was asked on Sprtscene if he and Martinez would be the next coach and assistant coach at Celtic,,he replied,,I think I need to show respect to the Belgian football authority by not answering that question.
We can speculate all day every day but the man who makes the call will be Dermot Desmond, not the hun Jackson from the daily ranger..

HH.

Not for me. I think he would set any rebuild back a decade. We need a manager with a modern scientific approach and a decent coaching record. A tactician, who can work constructively with his team. Prepared to put structures in place to develop, and give young players an opportunity to prove themselves good enough make the grade.
Roy Keane was a tremendous player but a mediocre manager, who if he doesn't get his own way, will bail out as fast as Rodgers did. Roy Keane was, is, and always will be, about Roy Keane first.

There's only one person at Celtic who thinks Keane as manager is a good idea. Unfortunately that person tends to get what he wants. If Keane as manager is the route DD is going down then we can forget the modernising of the football club that's desperately required. Any Sporting Director/Director of Football will be a replacement for Nick Hammond with a change in job title, they'll be a glorified scout and the current shambles in recruitment, youth set up, analytics, sport science etc will continue. Keane wouldn't work under a proper DoF and would only be answerable to DD, no one else.

Th thought of Roy Keane becoming our next manager has got my blood running cold, as I would class him a far bigger judas bastard than BR.
But we also live in a commercial world especially in football where I can see the money men making such a decision based more on commercial sense than a footballing sence.
Here in the Republic the biggest soccer (they use the term football for GAA) match is a Man United v Liverpool, with the Glasgow Derby possibly the biggest in the North.
With Sky now so involved in Scottish football, the appointment of Keane would be a dream for them in building up the Glasgow Derby which no doubt would increase in viewing within England and more so Asia.
Even the Glasgow Derby has been so watered down over the last number of years with our dominance and even with the scum been handed a title, it has been fairly low key as slippy would have a better backing in Ireland with his Liverpool connections than lenny has with been from the North.
Keane also has a lot of making good to do for the Republic and its only really the man u support who are so forgiving towards him.
I personally have no time for either of them, and it's easy to winde up a scouse git over YNWA as we have and always will put them to shame on such a brand, that is also renowned worldwide more with Celtic now than Liverpool imo and I bet that really riles slippy.
So I can see from a commercial point an appointment of Keane making sense even if I don't agree of it being a good footballing one.
And the thought of having to support this Cork tosser just would make me feel 🤮

Do you know what, at this moment in time I'd take him. He certainly wouldn't allow our players to be lazy bastards that can't run for longer than 50 minutes. He comes from the same background as slippy. Both were 24 hour athletes who played in a proper league where fitness and conditioning were everything. Look at what slippy has done with a squad of journeymen. They aren't special but they are fit. Roy would have a better squad, more money and hopefully his own backroom team of proper coaches, you'd hope.
