If not Howe, Who?

We've ALL got a wealth of experience. I read it every day. Doesnt mean we'd be any good. Get back on the ale.
Sorry BB, can't get back on the ale, I'm depressed enough as it is. Wasn't overly excited about Howe, but I thought at least he would have been a step up from Kennedy and possibly what we needed, a coach who could have possibly improved our set-up like BR. If we are going to have a punt on the Greek Aussie, so be it. If we can get a DoF at the same time then I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best. So I'll stay sober for tonight but I am not making any promises for tomorrow, HH

OK I'll take the bait. When was the last time Australia qualified for the World Cup Finals and when was the last time Scotland got there.
When have Australia had to play a team ranked in the top 10 in the world to qualify? Read this

Ange Postecoglou managed to get Australia to the last 2 world cups so he's not without talent. He could be said to have a better managerial pedigree than Wim Jansen and like Jansen was he's an experienced manager who could well flourish. Some big names have played in Japan towards the end of their careers, Iniesta the latest to join the J-League so Ange Postecoglou might not be the 'cheap option' he appears to be. If he turns out to the next manager I'll support him and give him time to right the ship. Lot of reports naming Roy Keane as bookies favourite and much as I respect him I don't think he's the man for the job in hand.
Agree with your post 26 but absolutely pissed off with whole shambollic board kidding the punters on ,champions league club according to pete the liar acting more like do not mean to disrespect junior clubs in the west of Scotland, but personally think junior clubs respect there fans far better than our club does ,champions league club my arse taken for granted

I did and this clown on course to take his current club to their worst ever league position in there history in the Japanese league.
Has to be bullshit as an appointment

It is not too (sic) weak. Ange has performed well in Australia club football, World Cup qualifying and in Japan. I agree that it is a gamble. It always is. I bet you'd never heard of Dr Jo Venglos. What's wrong with taking a chance. It could not be worse than last season surely.
Lucien Favre should be who we appoint. He's already stated he wants the job. If we don't go for him it's because the board want the cheapest option they can get away with.

Yes it could, the fella has zero experience in Europe, possibly knows nothing about Scottish football, hardly going to be able to attract players, and in the position we're in, taking a punt on someone like this is luncy with what's at stake

OK he does not have the golden touch. Agreed. Who Does? Why the visceral hatred? It's just misplaced anxiety and an assumption that we are opting for second rate. As a manager he has more skill than Kennedy or Keane.

No hatred towards the man so stop trying to make shite up. If your trying to convince us that a man with zero experience of the European game is a sensible appointment then you must be as twisted as the words you try to twist around

So by your logic we should never appoint a manager from North America, South America, Africa, or Asia. You have just ruled out 4/5ths of the world's managers.
