So if the Eddy deal falls through, we are not only stuck with him when he clearly does not want to be here (and would be lucky to get a fraction of this fee in January) but we also don't buy 2 much needed players despite us offloading a lot of players and finishing the transfer window with a profit?Nothing will be confirmed until Eddy deal is signed and sealed. Only then will the expected 2 be announced. Money in first, then money out
The board at Celtic continuously over promise and under deliverSo if the Eddy deal falls through, we are not only stuck with him when he clearly does not want to be here (and would be lucky to get a fraction of this fee in January) but we also don't buy 2 much needed players despite us offloading a lot of players and finishing the transfer window with a profit?
I understand business management and cost control practices, but that is not what is needed by the manager, not what is wanted by the fans (but we are obviously of the lowest concern) and not what was strongly implied at the start of the summer. That would be an extremely crap close to the transfer window as we would be in a much poorer position.
You never know......he might turn it on again if he stays......clean mind and all that......Worse scenario would be that he fails the medical.....he had Covid...hope its no long covid.....So if the Eddy deal falls through, we are not only stuck with him when he clearly does not want to be here (and would be lucky to get a fraction of this fee in January) but we also don't buy 2 much needed players despite us offloading a lot of players and finishing the transfer window with a profit?

spot onJason Kerr St Johnstone to Wigan for £600k. Another low cost option we could have brought in to give us some cover in central defence.

Ajer £13.5M
Bayo £1.5M
Hendry £1.35M
Shved £1M
Frimpong £11.5M
Klimala £4M
Kouassi £1.35M

Total - £53M

30 ffsDaniel James...30 million to Leeds......lol
The Greek is his replacementOver 50 million potentially in and what have we spent ? Good thing Eddie leaving for 15 odd million , i wonder how much we will spend on his replacement ?
I would think that the money from Frimpong and Elhamed deals in January, Klimala in April and Hendry in June would all go to minimise the losses in the year end accounts which take in the period up to June. Ajer, Bayo and Shved monies will have covered the signings so far and we are awaiting the confirmed deals of Edouard and Christie before announcing any other signings.I'd imagine the monies received from last season's sales would have helped to offset loses ? No?
Same here... I can waitLast day of the window, and it's like 'last call' at the bar
All the MSM football experts, scrambling and giving their ' inside knowledge' on transfers
I have no control over any of it, so not wasting my time with conjecture
