As i told a couple of buns last night ...we seen the best theyve got to offer on Sunday ...we were nowhere near our best at the weekend with new players and a new manager ..am no worried!Hopefully the new signings will settle in quick and im glad we re rid of some dead wood ,C mon the hoops!HHThey didn't retain their "best players" pal. The truth is nobody wanted them. That mob will be found out this season.
It ll be xmas soon...cany wait!I start work early so today was like getting up in xmas morning to see what presents you had got. Pretty happy tbh.
Has your 11 month advent calendar just told you it is only 115 days to Xmas? I bet you have fired up your Now That's What I Call Christmas CD (remember them?). Bah humbug. It ll be xmas soon...cany wait!

Great points BB. What’s pleased me most is there appears to have been a plan through this window that has focussed a bit more on the needs of the team in the pitch - we’ve “cleaned house” and brought in players in the places where we have needed them. Someone above said we still don’t have depth to the squad which may be true, but we do now seem to have cover, and generally cover that doesn’t mean fitting square pegs in round holes. As I said last night, I am very happy with our transfer window - it is the best one I can remember as we got rid of most of the deadwood/want-aways (I suspect Barkas and Bolingoli may move on also, although maybe Boli might fit Ange's system playing as a left wingback if we try a 3-5-2 formation???), often for decent transfer fees, while bringing in a lot of very talented players.
From my perspective, on paper possibly the 3 biggest risks would be the very young/lightweight Abada (but he has immediately eased my worries by hitting the ground running), Jota (same potential issues) and Cameron-Vickers (I don't know enough about him really) but the last 2 have been snapped up on a loan with option to buy which is perfect. If they are a success then we know exactly how much we have to pay and the parent club can't bump up the price thanks to OUR efforts and if they don't work out then it is a simple case of sending them home and moving on.
Yes, there are cases to be made for buying a CM and possibly another LB (but I think we have enough cover here) but overall it was a very good window which I hope sets us up nicely for success for the next few years. I'd say a lot of credit for this must go to Dom McKay for some excellent negotiations - not bad for a first attempt.
I am absolutely buzzing and so excited (we will undoubtedly have the occasional blip) but I think we have given ourselves a great chance. I appreciate a few posters won't agree - mainly due to the last excess in profit made during this window, but I am (naively?) hoping some of this will be used to target one or two specific players in January once Ange has a proper chance at assessing his squad and how they are adapting to his new methods. He had also hinted that this time of year was not a great time to do business with Japanese clubs so hopefully he can bring in another Kyogo or two in the new year.
In fact, WC has posted an article on the Star which obviously expresses my sentiments much more eloquently than I ever could:
"Hats off to Dom McKay for what has been a terrific window" | The Celtic Star
We've been here before when there's Celtic satisfaction after a transfer window closes - last year for instance - but this time it's not been a case of papering over the cracks with a cthecelticstar.com
behave yirsel you ffs HHIt's been neither a triumph or a catastrophe. We failed to add depth. We've (yet again) speculated rather than made certain in five or six positions on the pitch. We did, however, recruit proven individuals in Hart and McCarthy.
Another surplus on player trading that won't be spent on the pitch If Jota and Carter-Vickers work out, expect their signing fees to come out of next summer's budget. Let's hope Ange can work with what he's been given.
Glee over Sevco's lack of sales seems misplaced to me. They've retained all their best players, unlike us, and added some depth. Any true neutral would consider them favourites for the title. Soft loans will continue to keep them afloat, no doubt.
Looking forward to seeing the new signings play, welcome to Paradise

Have to say ...thought that was superb Good luck Eddy 🖐That's the quickest he's moved in 2yrs
I'm no sure that Turnbull is a definite starter as he has been very inconsistent and seems to run out of steam before anyone else.New look team
Hart
Juranovic Julien Carter-Vickers Scales
Abada McGregor Turnbull Jota
Kyogo Giakoumakis
Celtic 7 - 0 every cunt else in every game. And that will be all my future predictions on Superbru.....did someone say we don't have strength in depth???
We could go....
Hart
Ralston Welsh Murray Taylor
Forrest McCarthy mcgregor Montgomery
Turnbull Kyogo....
Or if you want, swap soro into that squad....or Rogic. Give Bitton a game if you want....or maybe Shaw or Connel if they aren't out on loan?? Wee dembele might get a game. Or Ajeti of you want to rest the strikers??? We also have Urhoghide to call upon at CB.....after the Windows we've had to endure. How can anyone be disappointed??? Docco!! Permission to use the word entitled!!!
you been on the sugar treats againAND......we still have a load of talented youngsters doing well in the development squad. Bhoys that will get their chance if they impress big Ange!! The futures bright
Awe bolt way shite tonyIt ll be xmas soon...cany wait!

It's the biggest games he goes missing when we need him to impose himself. Hes young and hopefully that'll come but for now I can see a lot of rogic on for Turnbull and Turnbull on for rogic etc in upcoming big games. At their best ( both of them) I'd say Rogic starts but not much in it and experience of playing in the big games will help Turnbull . Rogic has the tee shirt for turning it on in big games. Perhaps we expect too much of Turnbull too soon? HH ☘I'm no sure that Turnbull is a definite starter as he has been very inconsistent and seems to run out of steam before anyone else.
