Real Betis v Celtic - Europa League 5.45pm Thursday 16th September

Rangers v Lyon is 2 big strong physical sides fighting it out and the best technical footballing team winning. Betis v Celtic was a great attacking game where both teams were only interested in going forward and creating chances.
Strange that when the players are not asthmatic anymore the injuries pile up . Kent now injured

I think what we can deduce from tonight is that Ange's system works, all he needs now is the players to carry it out.
All 12 who played didn't let us down, the fact that he only trusted 12 to play when he could have used 5 subs says everything about our paper thin squad.
Juranovic is a class act, Jota is everything we need in a wide player, Turnbull had his best 'big game', even Rogic lasted 90 minutes and still looked as if he was creating to the end. Starfelt had his best game in defence and it was a great experience for young Monty who played well.
All in all a bad result but a good performance, a great performance given who was missing.
I deduced something entirely different. However opinions differ. I think Ange made the same mistakes NL made, many times. Not hooking Soro at HT was one.
I'm also becoming disillusioned with his inactivity and communication from the technical area. Not using subs is another worry, and then too late.
So many players running all over the pitch wherever they felt like it. 3 of their goals came from the left, Ralstons area, yet nothing was done, even at half time. The gallant loser tag is not for me.

I kind of agree about taking too long to use subs but it was a makeshift team and lessons will have been learned.

We only missed Callum. One player. Jota more than covered the absent Abadas position. IMHO Welsh should have played and Starfelt dropped.
Mistakes were made tonight, before the game.
That's big game test No 4 that Ange has failed. But hey, we'll hammer Livi 4-0 at the weekend, an everyone will be happy.

I am also worried about the time it takes to make subs and also worried about Soro I just can’t take to the boy I think any game he starts he’s a red card waiting to happen he can’t stop diving in

Welsh should have played but we needed Calmac and Kyogo.
