Celtic V Bodo/Glimt

Poor result and poor tactics that suited opposition team. We dont have great high ball strikers but go for high crosses mostly.

midfield set up was poor against a strong 5 man midfield who are excellent at sucking up pressure and springing into attack at intelligent moments

the huff and puff and blow your house in tactic was limp tonight. Players didnt play badly for me. just our tactics and lack of effective plan made the adhoc random approach look weak

These are a well oiled machine. They're as good as anything we've played this season.
100%
I think some of our players figured they'd be a walkover, but they looked the fitter, more well balanced team tonight
Changes made for the return leg
Hatate to start and either Rogic, or O'Riley, but not both
Taylor needs a rest, not happening for him right now
Just goes to show what happens when you come up against a quality side, who play the same way we do
They were dangerous coming forward all night
Fair play to them, they were the better team over the 90 minutes

Same but it's one of they nites nothings come off starting with I feel the midfield not being mobile enuf and them being a good team combined for a shitty nite
No doubt they were worthy of the win, but I feel the scoreline flatters them a bit. I do not think they are a team who look two goals better, but it was one of those nights when the rub of the green wasn't with us.

What the fuck was that? Played that game like we had no intention of winning it. Bulk of the crosses were too high or too near the keeper. Criminal turnovers of possession including what led to their 3rd. Passes too long or no movement from receivers. So many players having shite games on the one night. No sign of the Scottish Cup sideline intensity from Ange. I guess we don't give a shite about the conference but I'd like to see the betting behaviour of the board and Desmond.

A very disappointing result and an even more disappointing performance. With hindsight it seemed to be the wrong team selection and wrong tactics. Too many players underperformed after a lot of wonderful games. We huffed and we puffed and it just never worked out for us.

Our opponents are decent, well drilled, had a gameplan and got the breaks and fully deserved their win.

I said doing anything in Europe this season would be a bonus in my opinion. It looks like that will be unlikely now unless we improve significantly on this poor performance. But it has to be a big lesson for everyone to learn from.

Apart from the 1st half at Pittodrie, we have been poor since the derby game. I hope our players haven't thought they have made it and have dropped their intensity?

We learn from tonight, put it behind us and move on.

Away from home in europe, their tactics were very strong and executed with synergy
I thought they nullified us.
They stopped us playing - under Ange, when we regain possession... we don't get immediately pressed.

It's almost as if they built their game around regaining possession rapidly after losing it.
Generally though, I just thought "This is the Norwegian Livingston".
They were solid, kept shape. Impressed af.

Kinda team I'd root for - pure underdogs - but no against Celtic :p
