Yet where it will give us a very good idea is upon the value of scales if Shirley is sold and Ange doesn't rate scales in his future plans still.

The thing with Bassey is, IMO he had a very good finish to the season - often in their biggest matches. But he also had a few brainfarts (more than Starfelt) and also got away with many challenges by the MIBs that players from other teams wouldn't have.

At the moment he is mainly about his potential - whether he goes on to fulfil this is anyone's guess. But the thing I find funny is he is the latest in a very long line of sevco players who has a good half dozen games who gets massively over-hyped by a compliant media as everyone pimps him out to all comers. And their fans are excited as they desperately want these players to leave too! Surely their fans and the pundits would be better trying to persuade their better players to stay longer to improve?

Was shocked to hear that no random drug testing takes place in Scottish football and the question still remains as to why? Especially in this day and age.
Drug cheats only take that risk for fame and fortune, so many within that shit hole would be ripe for taking that risk especially with such a rancid club all for it to hopefully help to ease debts still.
So couldn't totally rule it out myself and the cup semi was very suspicious imo especially upon the fitness levels that were on show and none more than Shirley herself.
If the Scottish game had any intention of actually cleaning itself up then random drug testing should have been introduced years ago, all the while it's not then suspicion will arise especially when such a rancid and cheating shower of scum are involved still imo.
The technology used these days could still be throwing up erratic data that any club would run away from and no surprise they couldn't sell any players as well as paying them well above there worth still.
Why anyone even bothers to entertain them still remains way beyond me still

We will possibly have to face this again next summer BB, but the big difference is we will want to keep all of our players for the worth they can bring to the club in term's of success.
Yet we still know we can't compete against bigger wages on offer elsewhere.
Got a manager now in Ange who wouldn't stand in any players way if they wanted other ventures elsewhere either, but all the while they give there best for us, then I haven't got any issues with it, as there will still be plenty of players only to happy to join us still and Ange could well end up being spoilt for choice.

So when did they stop random drug tests. I thought it was a drug dest that flagged up stubbs cancer.
Plus drug tests are carried out the the uk anti doping people, not the SFA.

Someone made the claim when the subject was addressed months ago which wouldn't surprise me as even goal line technology still isn't in play yet in Scottish football

I don't think the SFA have any control over drug testing. Every NGB in UK sport have to sign up to the UK anti doping agency. It's then the doping agency who just turn up randomly to carry out drug tests. So if a player or an athlete is going on holiday or a family visit, they have to inform the anti doping agency where they are going to be staying.

However today's game does also depend upon a squad that can cover most eventualities that can crop up during the course of a season.
Would still say McCarthy would be happy enough in playing a role as a sub to see out a game when winning comfortable enough and allowing for the much more needed player a welcome rest, and all this while being a good team mate to those off the pitch and helping players settle into the club imo.
If that's the case with Mccarthy then see nothing wrong with that as everyone has a role to play within the current squad for the season ahead

The fee is around £18.73m, with the potential to receive a further £4.26m in add ons if all conditions are met, and who knows what they are and how likely they are to be met.
Mental as he’s only been any good for the last 6 months, strange signing if it’s true…….

Ajax footballing culture has already gone to fuck if there's any truth in that one.
The new manager there has to be a good bet for getting ran out of the club when they see the amount of money wasted on a donkey still 😂
