I get how this sort of quote may look in the days ahead, but we need to see this for what it is.
A guy with his background who has had to turn stones for decades to get where he is and we all know to a man that he is going to the very top. Unfortunately circimustances dictate that we can't provide the chance to reach that pinnacle, we are only ever going to be a stepping stone on the way.
Its not our fault and its not his. I don't like it but i get it and it'll happen for the forseeable future.

I remember as a kid in my first year going to games, i got pictures outside Paradise with my favourite players over the course of a few weeks.
McLeod, McInally, McClair and he i wont say his name.
They all left in one summer.

You can call it decitful, the chance has come at the end of a season when we've still a trophy to play for. The big mans being asked these questions while he's asking a team for a performance.
If he's honest, it affects everything, aye he's not being up front, but to the best of his ability, he's not being dishonest. He's actually being professional IMO.

Noted. But the problem is that he has been telling everyone that his sole focus has been the cup final when he was obviously focussing on the Spurs job.

Noted. But the problem is that he has been telling everyone that his sole focus has been the cup final when he was obviously focussing on the Spurs jojob.

I don't know if he has been focusing on the Spurs job. Maybe I am gullible or overdosing on Deludamol but I thought Ange had been trying to avoid thinking about this until after the Final.

I'm sure his preference was to deal with this at the end of the season but someone within Spurs has been feeding their media contacts with leaks about wanting Ange.

Now I suspect that if Ange follows the lead of the previous three preferred candidates and reject Spurs after hearing Levy's terms then a significant amount of Celtic fans have lost trust and some love for Ange and the relationship may be spoiled. Even if he hasn't done anyway wrong the perception is that he has done.

Really hoping we’re better than that now. Tbf most recent appointments have been pretty solid. 5 trebles in 7 seasons. Not too shabby. The board can’t just be lucky but as you say there’s always the suspicion they’re cheapskates!
