Hibs v Champs, Wed 7-Feb-24 at 8pm MIB=N.Walsh, VAR=Dallas

I thing Palma is missing the guidance and coaching of Harry Kewell.
He was doing OK when Harry took him under his wing, as Harry won the European cup as a winger with Liverpool.
When Palma scored his first goal for us he ran over and hugged Harry.
A great point scotcel - something I hadn't thought about. A few of the wider players commented on the influence Kewell had on their play. I still think Palma can be a right good player for us - he just needs to improve his decision making and stop trying to be so greedy, which will hopefully come with maturity.

He slows down our play and does the usual cut in side because he doesnt have the pace to beat a man on the outside.A big downgrade on Jota imo .

Aye he's no Jota, not yet at least. There's similarities in them though imo
Jota very often was anonymous and then would pop up with something incredible Palma seems to disappear in similar fashion but turns up in the big games.
His cut backs are too predictable , defenders are waiting on it and he gets caught out too often.
I still think he can be a good decent player for us and its still very early days for him at Celtic

Tonight will be the night, I feel, that we see the likely destination of the title.
We came up against a managerless sheep team and failed.
The scum are now coming up against an Aberdeen team that should have that new manager bounce. In theory, their challenge should be harder.
If they manage to take full points, it shoots down the "we are better cause we beat the huns twice" theory. They are taking points off teams that we aren't. That's were the league is won. Titles aren't just won it the cauldrons of Celtic Park and Ibrox when the 2 teams meet. They are won on shit plastic pitches and early mornings in the Highlands. They are won against teams that are struggling at the bottom of the table....they are won in the sort of games that we are dropping points in and they bastards aren't.
I really hope for a sheep win tonight....if only to save our fucking season!

Judging from BRs press conference today Idah will be starting tomorrow night. Raving about how good he's been in training and how excited he is by him.
Maeda back, fit and available.
Taylor back in training but will be the weekend, or Killie the following week, before he's back.

No chance Aberdeen will win tonight. No new manager bounce given Colin Wanker's declared love of Sevco.

Let's not kid ourselves: With those red and blue pricks right there with us, we cannot drop any more points this season and that starts tomorrow. If we lose this one, we could be fucked.

Need to come out with some damn energy and act like we give a fuck from the opening whistle. That was...not the case against Aberdeen.

If we drop points tomo we really are fucked.Hibs are rank rotten ,easily beaten by St Mirren last week and the huns before that .We have put massive pressure on ourselves ,lets see if our players have the baws to turn this around.

Hibs away so far not a happy place for Rodgers yet to record a win, so it's time for that to change the players need to step up and deliver in games, no more players hiding like some of them did in the 2nd half against Aberdeen and other games were points were lost.
