Motherwell v Champs, Sun 25-Feb-24 at noon. MIB=Gollum

On wingers.

Before playing a team you should find out if they are narrowing the field or widening the field. This can be vital before going with plan A or Plan B. Teams narrow their parks depending on the opposition.

The length of a pitch must be between 100 yards (90m) and 130 yards (120m) and the width not less than 50 yards (45m) and not more than 100 yards (90m).
I wonder if we actically have a plan A or B sometimes when watching the last few games I know the team are low n confidence but we need the wingers to go past defenders and get balls into the box instead of passing backwards, 3 points up for grabs we need a win last time there we got a late winner after letting them back into the game don't want the stress of that again. Come on Celtic give us a good performance and the 3 points.

A bang on about this before every match,,we need the centre half’s whoever they might be?to speed the game up from defence it takes waaaaay too long for them to get it forward,,even if they just launch the thing at least it turns the opposition to face there own goal??a haven’t checked but I imagine welsh and scales have more touches of the ball than our front guys combined??if so that’s fuckin ludicrous..that’s why we miss carter vickers and hatate that link…..anyhows a victory to the good guys,,,a defeat for the scanks…..

Time to try something different? (probably not!!!). IF CCV is not ready to start then begin with Nawrocki. I'd start Ralston instead of AJ.

Sorry Steviebhoy, but I'd maybe try Maeda more central beside Kyogo, with MOR in the no. 10 role behind them? I know Maeda has been awful this year, but he performs well for Japan in a more central role.

Iwata needs to start the next few games to give him a chance (let's not slaughter him and write him off if he struggles in his first game back as so often happens to players who are finally given a long-awaited start, especially when so many established stars have failed for to many games). This pushes CalMac further forward too, where is is more effective.

I'd also start Holm who likes to get stuck in, in the middle of the pitch. I know this makes us very narrow, but I see no point in playing wingers who don't cross well and if we don't have anyone in the middle to win the cross anyway.

Idah can come on later to score our winning penalty!

Any win will do!

Nothing wrong there mate. Just wish we went 3-5-2.

The centre backs do what they do. It's the midfield who's passing backwards.

Well we just have to wait till ccv and hatate come back into the side to see if the pace picks up??the midfield is passing back in my opinion because there is no space between our midfield and our front guys due to the treacle pace bringing the ball from defence which allows opposition to mark up tight…so we need the centre backs to stop doing what they do??in my humble opinion…a long forty yard ball now and again( much like what goldson does for the hunz)could be the answer….

It goes without saying that Celtic need a good win against Motherwell the last few weeks have been well below expectations, whatever the reason it need to be resolved and quickly weather it’s injury’s players management or down to tactics it has no place in a Celtic Team there is no more room for excuses and every player who plays on Sunday should be aware of that, nothing less than a win will do

It is beginning to look like a lack of a plan. There seems to be no link up play with origins on the training field. It isn't just the lack of imagination from our set pieces (tap it short to a colleague 5 feet from the ball to trundle forward then play a square or backwards pass to a teammate under pressure), but also no obvious moves during open play where it looks like players have rehearsed things beforehand.

We just seem to line players up in general areas, tell them to be risk averse so we keep possession no matter what and then hope that some individual skill creates and opening. And if that doesn't work then just keep repeating until we run out of steam and pray that we can hang on to avoid defeat.

Goldson likes pinging them out the park though

Most of them are too happy not to take responsibility. If it means taking on a player or having to be creative with a ball at their feet they'd rather give someone else the option whether or not the recipient of the pass is surrounded by opposition players.

If they aren't confident in their own abilities then why should we be, and why are they playing for Celtic?

Tony Ralston has earned the right to start imho, might be too soon to have AJ in, as not sure if his injury has fully healed, and it might be an opportunity for Rocco Vata to showcase his talents, Taylor back in, and our midfield needs to be ready to fight for every ball, and both Idah and Kyogo up front, but one things for sure, we need 3 points and get back on track HH

A think the more game time for ralston the better,,he’s no had a lot dill, and if it’s sleeves rolled up time?no better warrior👍

The last month or so on the football front has been pretty shitty compared to what we are used to?if it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck, but here’s the thing!! The hunz have had tons of luck and help get to the lofty heights of two points ahead,,who’s to say the lucky stretch isn’t about to turn?surley you can’t have that luck til the seasons end?…pressure is firmly on they cunts make no doubts,so let’s just do our business and keep applying it and see how good they really are since we’re getting told on a regular basis……draw the morra🙏

My thinking exactly regarding Tony, a never say die attitude from him, love AJ and how he plays but with his propensity to fly in (Canadian Bhoys don't do half measures) and the MIBS looking to help their klub, and as CCV and AJ are recovering from injuries, maybe a half would be better, but we'll just have to wait and see, as long as we bin the continual pass backs and sideways passing which allows teams to play the high press against us, we need speed and power and be relentless on Sunday, make a statement of intent, anybody who's an empty jersey, get them hooked and someone on in their place who will fight for this title HH

Nothing we can do about the huns tomorrow but I'm pretty certain the wee Huns will do their usual when they go there....hee haw.
And if they do get close the Mib/Var will see to it for the bigger hun to get the points it's a cert.
Motherwell on the other hand will be encouraged to kick the shit out of our players with no consequence... get the Iwata bhoy in that midfield for some physicality and FFS Celtic give us some belief that you actually care. Never mind the words in the dressing bollocks get your talking done on the pitch.

My only problem with this is once again , at the crunch end of the season we're still trying to see what works.
I've been flying the flag for Iwata all season but now we might have to ease players into the game , theye played so little, been one experiment after another.
We have to play with 2 strikers in these games especially and I agree with you on Maeda in a central role, running on to through balls from midfield.
That we cant field our strongest xi has been the bane of our season.
If we can get that side or most of it even on the field that would enhance my confidence levels.
If we're playing two strikers though we must supply them or it's a waste of time, also must get this half times approaching mentality out of the head, stop losing last kick goals and confidently see the game out , remember who we are and play as such, the half or match is finished when it's finished need to stop switching off in added time and show more intelligence. More twists to come I think possibly starting with hearts though I'm not holding my breath about them I want momentum back with the team.

I see we have the man Crawford Allan affectionately calls William refereeing us on Sunday. The very same man the Huns have well and truly neutered.

We have in MIB Collum, a man who is terrified of giving any decision against the Huns and any decision in favour of Celtic.

This weak, lowlife, excuse for a man, will hinder us in every way he can, to pander to his Masonic masters, and to ensure he remains on the lucrative Masonic gravy train. You can bet on it…
