Too much success

Unsure if it's just me but I don't know if we have got that used to success that we can't cope when things take a bad turn with the amount of moaning because the club isn't playing great is crazy and asking for the manager to get sacked at this stage is nuts and comments about the board want this so rangers can win tittle is wrong and 100 percent false..thank fuck social media wasn't a thing back in the day under big jock as even he would have had fans wanting him sacked...we can't win every game or league every year and so many of our great seasons we have lost plenty and still won the title and this season can be the same and we have only lost 2 games..the board have been terrible with not giving cash etc and it's frustrating but some of the comments are crazy in my opinion...I take it we are only best fans in world when things are going good?dortmund last year lost league on last game of season to stop bayern from winning league for the 11th time and they still got applauded off the field....if Celtic spent big money and played like this then maybe feel different but we are buying cheap and you get what you pay for sometimes.... hopefully the bhoys can turn it round tho🍀 we are still top the now and hopefully it stays that way 🍀

I can only answer for myself, tommybhoy. No, I'll never take success for granted; I'll never carry the arrogance of feeling entitled simply because we're Celtic.
Neither will I accept sitting on our laurels and shrug my shoulders simply because we've " never had it so good ".

When a season ends, whether good or bad, it's in the history books and so can't be changed.

When a season starts, though, the opportunity to create even more history of the positive kind should be embraced with relish....and ambition.
 
It's not that I feel entitled but blind Freddie could see how it was all going pear shaped this season.

If mere humble fans can understand that a club needs quality players to win anything but the board are determined to pile the dough into project youngsters that they hope are going to bump up the bank balance to make the accountants happy proves that money making is paramount to them and not the success of the club.

They have no interest in doing well in Europe, no ambition to maintain dominance domestically and certainly no aspirations to buy the best we can well afford. I would have made Miovski an offer that he or Aberdeen couldn't refuse and everyone on here would have too.

When the huns reap the rewards of the CL they WILL spend that money while our board can keep looking at the bottom line of the books, happy in the knowledge that us poor saps keep filling the coffers.
 
The problem is its bad compared to what it could be. Not close to the nineties of course but still nowhere near where it could be. We are the richest club but our board sits on a fortune while the Huns spend recklessly and it looks like it’s going to pay off for them. It is missed opportunity rather than relative failure which is the issue for me.

I know no one feels entitled but it's been an over reaction at the same time tho I understand people spend a lot of money and time (me included) on Celtic and have right to express opinions ..this is maybe just my opinion even tho it's probably not a popular 1 🤣....

Forgive us if we're a tad upset Tommy. But we did have an 8 point lead earlier.
 
I think Andy H summed it up. It is not that we feel entitled to win a treble every season, and most of us have lived through much worse times back in the 1990s. It is just that we are pissed off thinking about what could be, given our financial advantage over our rivals - both domestic and in the second tier European leagues.

Many of our problems appear to be self-inflicted by sneering arrogant twats who look down their noses at the fans/customers/plebs who pump our hard-earned money into our club.

At the end of the day, we played well below our capabilities again and drew a match we should have won. This last week I've had to deal with problems a 100 times bigger than the result of a football match.

Even if we blow this league, lose many of our star players this summer for a pittance, have Kennedy managing a new group of young foreign projects and get overtaken by the 12 year old newco who won't hesitate to spend the Champions League riches, then we will all still support Celtic. We will piss and moan about missed opportunities but we will all still be fans of the Hoops.

So you think it's acceptable to tell shareholders that the most secretive and probably corrupt document in Scottish football ie the five way agreement was sitting right in front of you and you didn't even bother reading it...that should have been the end of him then..the guy is a liar and a fraud

🤣🤣🤣Obv I'm upset too ....I've been thinking this way for a few years tho ....my nephew wants a manager sacked after the first loss of the season ......can you imagine what it would have been like with social media half way through wims time as manger?🤣....football is a sport but we least we win most and we don't lose much 🍀.....

I've slated them many times on here but I definitely don't believe for a second they want Celtic to lose league that's just comical mate

I'm not for sacking BR just yet, but I feel kennedy has his ear a lot more since kewwell left, noticed a lot of chat between him and rodgers before the subs yesterday, he's not a good influence imo.
