I’m expecting 2 banks of 5 today and the tackling to be of the agricultural variety. The wee Jakey Hun dealer will make sure of it. It’s the only way these hammer throwers can get close to us, aided and abetted by the compliant MIB.

We need to be really up for this…
 
Just about to leave chilly Ayrshire and head to The Dear Green Place a tad early as I have family stuff to attend to.

I would love to say there's a spring in my step to match the daffodils in the back garden. I would be lying to you good folk if I said that. That grey cloud which has hung over this season, for me anyway , is still very much present. It's as welcome as a pluke on the nose before a first teenage date.

Of course, I do think we'll win. The opposition are lousy, while we are, eh, not quite as lousy as them. I suppose that's some kind of comfort.

If the dwindling number of decent players available for this game actually perform, then, it should be comfortable. If they are below par though, then, it may very well be a long, nervy afternoon.

A good start would go a long way to easing my concerns.

I might have agreed with you, but it is Gollum reffing and he is desperate to appease that lot who continue to insist he is a Tim. If he does favour us today, then I suspect he thinks he will be demoted from the top tier refs next season. Hopefully we will not be discussing refs and VAR after this afternoon but instead celebrating 2 home victories for the teams in Green & White!

The team looks very lightweight to me which is going to suit the hammer throwers. We have to play at a high tempo and mix it up.

We need to get the ball forward quickly and continually get at them. I think this is going to be a battle and we have to be up for it…
