Signed petition ....can't believe that the Celtic Board are so insensitive as to try raising money in this manner . We are not paupers like some other clubs and don't need to scrape around for every penny available .
We need to remember our roots when seeking sponsors and when making deals such as this one .

I know people will argue that Gamblers will gamble wether we as a team promote it or not, if the company themselves advertised " win tickets etc " then fine, but for Celtic as a club to promote it is just plain wrong imho.
Someone needs a right good kick in the haw maws for this decision, allowing tickets to be used in this way...

Petition signed. This is a step too far. Could live just with the shirt logo but actively encouraging gambling for Celtic tickets does not sit well with me. The club is relatively well off right now and it is reasonable to expect the board to seek out new revenue streams but not this way. HH

What is going on inside our club? Brother Walfrid must be spinning in his grave. Gambling now seems to be the norm with Celtic cash raising. Gambling causes lives, divorce,domestic violence. Can't the board see all this or are they thinking of more cash in the coffers. Celtic was not founded to make money from gambling sites. Whatever happened to the ethos of charity begins at home. Instead we get gambling sponsorship, I for one am ashamed of our board. They never ever seem to do right by the Celtic family. May God forgive them for this, because I can't. HH

Don't see any problem with it, same as the years n years of alcohol sponsorship . Take personal responsibility for your own actions coz I'm pretty sure being sponsored by brewries didn't make me drink any more or any less so ain't gonna be gambling more or less than I already do.
I know people who have massive problems with both gambling n especially drink n n I'm absolutely positive that because Celtic are promoting gambling sites and alchohol isn't going to make them any worse or any better.
Hope we're getting some good coin out of it

As an alcoholic, every day is a fight for me to stay away from the russian.
Its not easy.
If any alcoholic sat in a boozer long enough they would eventually lift a drink.

It actually affects me in a not nice way when I go into the bookies on a sat put my line on go to the shops get some beer and essentials come back and the same poor sod is still sitting at that f#&n slot machine id ban the lot of them from everywhere bar the arcades

I wish we could be sponsored by something that’s not addictive and destructive to so many, not just the poor soul that’s the addict but the whole of the family and wider community that suffers. But who would we have, if it was a confectioner it could be argued we were encouraging obesity. I don’t know what the answer is but I think it should be given careful consideration not judged purely in financial terms. A really positive choice with a positive message would be a welcome change

Personal responsibility is a very easy thing to say. It's been proven in countless scientific studies that susceptibility to addiction is written in your DNA, the reward centres in some people's brain chemistry make it extremely difficult to quit triggers once they have been invoked. I think the recent advertisement by @mrgreencasino (promoted on Celtic's official twitter feed with the chance of match tickets) is a clear attempt to entice vulnerable people into a potentially life-ruining situation by invoking those triggers. It's my opinion that our club was built on the concept of social responsibility, and exploiting our most vulnerable fans is immoral and not within the spirit of the club's founder.

NO. At least a drinker can only drink so much and pass out eventually but a gambler ends up selling his soul to the devil............and everyone else's into the bargain.
