Winning Captains Bolingoli

The Celtic focus has been elsewhere this week with the Board banning the Green Brigade and yesterday comparing us to the Zombies for shouting down fascists last month. Three Celtic fans were stabbed remember but Lawwell focused on us using a sweaty word in a song and an anti-fascist banner. It has never been made clear which banner that UEFA fined Celtic for, the Green Brigade's or perhaps the more 'offensive' Bhoys one. Peter Lawwell when he was on the phone to UEFA about Res 12 yesterday morning could have asked for clarity on that and since he's never seen it could have asked them to send over a copy of the Five Way Agreement which appears to be part of the rule book in Scottish football. If we play the game surely we have a right to read and understand the rules?

Anyway Celtic are looking to win the two remaining games, top the group and achieve the highest ever points total in a European group - 16 points. Here's what Lenny has been saying ahead of tonight's game and his Media Conference video is included at the end.

Greg Taylor is likely to start - with both Bolingoli and Hayes injured and he has also been speaking to the Media, again here's our report and the video is at the bottom of the article.

Here are tonight's opponents and you'll see that they have left their top two stars back in France...

As for the team I expect Celtic to line-up like this.

Forster

Bauer, Ajer, Jullien, Taylor

Brown, McGregor

Christie, Ntcham, Forrest

Edouard

Prediction? Celtic 3 Rennes 1

COYBIG - all comments on the game here please...

Until the Last Rebel.

I thought Neil said Olivier was going to start. In place of our captain or Callum who never seems to get a break? Agree with you on the scoreline though WCB, 3-1 to the hoops. Might be better to ask Celtic Star what the score will be though! COYBIG!

Olivier wisni in the team WCB originally put up. Making me look daft is not difficult I know but come on WCB acknowledge your edit 😂😂

Thought Rennes were a smashing young team in the pre season game. Tonight they have no need to be tactically inhibited and I'll be pleased with any Celtic victory 'coz it will be more difficult than we are expecting methinks
Agree with that both teams they played that day were very impressive. I thought they would win the group if I'm being honest. When we got that draw over there I was cock a hoop. They've certainly been inconsistent to say the least but we shouldn't underestimate them and I don't think we will. We are a very confident side at the moment though and confidence is a huge part of football when sides are equally matched. Think we'll edge this 2-1.
