On the original thread topic... yesterday's display is a reminder that sometimes we fans know heehaw.
Loads of posters on here have been slating Boli since his first appearance, despite his game by game improvement. He's a young chap, living in a hotel in a new country, adjusting to a new position and system and he's still undefeated. Furthermore, all those desperate to stick the boot into big Jullien must have forgotten how iffy Virgil looked in his first month with us. The internet hasn't half given a voice to some amount of whingers.
But, full disclosure... when we kicked off yesterday and punted the ball up the field as if we were playing egg chasing, I was one of those roaring in the pub, apoplectic that we'd conceded possession. That's the intelligence of Lenny for you and is the reason he's the manager and I'm not. Sod the Snake and his masturbatory possession game - Lenny's Lions will get in the opposition's faces, attack, play the game in the enemy's lines and score goals, goals, goals!
