I've just watched the BBC news, repeatedly mentioning the old firm game, when will Celtic fc do something about this and stop this, farcical use of a now defunct club. We must ensure that we stop the use of "the old firm" and that the game must be called the Glasgow Derby. HH.
 
I've had a think about it and they should be giving a guard of honour. Infact not by only 11 men, as they enter the field of play. They deserve more than that. They've worked hard for their title....their 55th I believe. What the Celtic board should do is invite a member form every organisation that were shafted by rangers (oldco) in 2012. Instead of applauding, each person should be holding a bill for the money owed to them. No doubt the huns will have some sort of "55" emblem somewhere on their kit. They can't very well deny they owe any cunt money if they are the "same club".....let the face painter go 1st.
 
The ''guard of honour '' shit is just like ''the poppy'' issue . These things are raised by certain elements in the media when it suits them to have a dig at Celtic . Just ignore it !

There was NEVER a suggestion in all the past decades that I was watching football for there to be a ''silence'' to respect the war dead at football matches - and that was at time when MANY supporters were ex-servicemen or fans who had lost loved ones in both World wars .

It is an issue today because of Blair and the Labour Party ( and others ) who took us into illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - it was and is used as a distraction from the actions of Government !

Let's celebrate/commemorate our brave ''heroes'' we are told !

Yes , but don't ask the Government to pay for their mental health issues , or get homeless ex-servicemen off the streets , or address the murderous actions of some ''heroes'' during this conflict which even today the British Government is fighting in the courts .

And the big deal made by Sevco of their ''Armed Services Day '' is a hypocritical propaganda exercise by a Klub that is a resurrected clone of a tax-dodging entity that denied money to these Armed Forces !
No other Scottish club , which fully funded the Armed Forces by paying their taxes, feels the need to tell the world of their support . It is a given !

As for the Guard of Honour ? A load of shit ! This is being raised as another part of the triumphalism of the resurrected Klub and its sycophants in the media .

How many Guards of Honour did the Lisbon Lions receive from any other club in Scotland ?
Did Sevco give the Celtic Invincibles a Guard of Honour - f*ck no !

Even papers that headlined their ''death'' in 2012 have the brass neck to acclaim a historic ''55'' titles . Utter pap ! Do they not even read their own back issues ?

Anyone who falls for this ''guard of honour '' propaganda really needs to get out more .

Clap for carers and they are offered a humiliating 1%pay rise for putting their lives on the line so the rest of us stay healthy. Kneeling in an empty stadium wont change that, wearing wee badges in your lapel wont change it either, nor will fitba teams with anti -racism armbands, all token gestures by corrupt, racist and prejudiced organisations and countless countries and " institutions" . The same scum that trashed memorial benches in George square with no thought given to the risk to the general public's health are the very same scum and thugs that stood on their balconies , doorsteps and clapped for carers every Thursday but it means nothing when it comes to them beating us for once. Any of us with Irish or mixed race heritage know this all too well. Before the pandemic struck when thousands of Tim's gathered on the road from hampden to the saltmarket to celebrate the treble treble and watch the bus parade didnt cause damage to property and you have that midden of a stank , the louden bar saying theyve raised the money for any damages. Well that's ok then smash what you want as long as you pay for it afterwards? Nah doesnt work like that and the fact they think it does shows what kind of 'peepul ' they are, the dregs of society. I dont like to carry hatred within but the emotion within me for them is very close to it. When they were first promoted to the premier league my brother said to me that it was the worst thing that could happen to our good city and country and he was right 100% right. Weve all seen the disgusting images of a guy standing naked with his teeny wee badgers tadger oot , I would be embarrassed to show it to my doctor never mind in a crowd, fighting amongst themselves in the streets, stabbing foreign supporters the list is endless , it's an affront to the dregs of society to tar them with the same brush as the 'peepul' . They are still living in the 17th century, it's all the identity they have and it's not even a real one. They chant sectarian bile from the dark ages whilst our supporters highlight the injustices the Palestinian people suffer from a country which isnt as old as the number of years my son and I have been alive combined, and the fascist neo-nazi lazio supporters. Guard of honour? The only guard or honour that rotten mob know is the turn-key who escorts them up from the cells to sit in front of 'your honour' waiting to be sentenced for charges against society.

The next day after I'd posted about meaningless gestures or token gestures, wilfred Zaha made a statement saying he would no longer ' take the knee' his reasoning was that the meaning, symbolism of it was now nothing more than a token gesture and that he would stand up against racism , taking the knee was now degrading to him as the meaning has been diluted and it's just the norm for sports persons to do this. Hes right of course, at the time it was a united gesture against racism but how exactly will taking the knee change peoples attitudes to race, ethnicity, equality and police brutality? In short , it wont. How could it? It's nothing more than a glorified token protest that extremely well paid athletes are indulging in. Some would rather not do it but are afraid of a media backlash if they dont. Just the other night when the rangers £40 million rated player ( aye right) Kamara was racially abused by a slavia player. Now the rangers fans are amongst the worst for this behaviour but their players like any clubs shouldnt be subjected to it. Surely the taking of the knee would stop this from happening? No chance as it is just a token gesture
